Hi. It has been ~1 month already...

Realized that my public IP is different from my router IP.
Because of this, I can't connect to my CCTV DVR remotely.
The WAN IP address reported to the DDNS server differs from the router IP.

FYI, I'm IT literate biggrin.gif
Have done the following:-

1. POWER CYCLE (turn off/on) & RESET, the modem & wireless router
2. Change to OTHER wireless ROUTERs
3. SCAN all PCs / notebooks / mobile phones of virus, malware etc.

So, I would rule out hijacking / IP spoofing by virus/malware ...

Any of you guys, experiencing the same problem? hmm.gif

Your internet router has a dynamic ip address assigned by Unifi on the WAN interface and a private ip address on the LAN side (maybe something like 192.168.0.1 (private addresss space)), that's normal.

How are you updating the WAN interface ip address, by a DDNS client on the router?

Yes, I'm aware that most of our external WAN IP address is dynamic, each time we re-connect to the internet vs static WAN IP on corporate /leased lines.

I'm also using it for simple FTP server, which also fail bcoz the difference IP addr reported to DDNS provider.

Just found out the TM is doing upstream NAT rerouting ... doh.gif

...TM no longer assign public IPs to Unifi basic accounts, only shared public IPs, something like double NAT at ISP level. I think it's mentioned in FAQ
In TM UniFi FAQ or a thread on d forum?
Didn't find this on TM UniFi FAQ / T&C ...

Juz experienced this (double NAT / upstream NAT rerouting) ~1month ago...

I'm using Unifi, dynamic ip, I've not had a problem accessing my home network via the internet - web server, music streaming, etc.
U r on UNIFI Standard 100Mbps or UNIFI Basic 30Mbps ?

Student package - 10 Mbps, still waiting for Unifi's much promised free upgrade that never happens.
R u sure, u r still on 'Student' / '10Mbps' plan?
Did u check yr e-bill? Does it says 'Student' / '10Mbps'?
TM began their turbo initiative since Oct'18... by now, should be finished their upgrade exercise.

BTW,
i) HOW MUCH r u paying?
ii) WHERE r u located?
