Any good recommendation for types of woods suitable to be used for timber roof truss structural members such as rafters, beams, joists, etc? Looking for 2 by 8 sizes.

Any particular reason you must use timber instead of lightweight steel truss?

For my demolish and rebuild, using Balau and Resak for a habitable attic.

Fully exposes truss and raw unfinished, just smooth sanded and beeswax.

Mind sharing some pics? Also how did you insulate the roof?

I've not started with it yet, currently still being fine tuned at the drawing board.

As for roof insulation, according to the architect's blueprints it is layered Air Bubble sheets and Rockwool cladded with kempas boards.
