Hey guys... I need some helps here... I'm using Acer Nitro 5... I recently bought an Acer monitor... Which only have vga while my laptop only have hdmi... So i bought hdmi to vga converter... I tried connect it and the monitor says 'input not supported'... When i change to 'extend' , it works... I tried connect it to my old lenovo laptop and it works really well... So what should i do to make it works?

Sell the monitor and get a better one. A good HDMI to VGA converter cost more than the monitor.

As what the person above said ...........

HDMI to VGA = Digital to Analog

RM 300 - 400 can get you a monitor with HDMI input.

Start - Setting - System -> Scroll down -> Advanced display settings -> Choose Display -> Display adapter properties for Display 1 or 2 -> List all modes.

Try this.

just sharing, i am getting the similar error and i fixed it by reinstall driver. Not sure whether it is the same for your case. But might be software related rather than hardware
