You know why Bezza save fuel?

I went to test drive when it first launched, 4 occupants in the car climbing a fairly steep hill (bukit segar in cheras if you know where)

Pedal to the metal liao, but still in 4th gear refuse to downshift, slowly crawling uphill at 20kmh while the eco indicator lit up showing that I am driving economically.

One of the most mindfcuk test drive I've ever experienced.

I had the chance to drive this car for few months

naik genting 4 occupants also like you, the last few steep one crawling like fuark

but ok lah, ppl like kevin23 sure like the fc, very jimat

but handling is like sampan, once bus/lorry overtake u , u can feel the car shaking a bit

This guy review about fuel consumption of both car

13km/l is quite bad.

Even my 1.6l Saga FLX SE can get almost 15-16km/l at those speeds on highway.

All rumors only.

No solid evidence Proton is doing anything with the Saga at the moment.

if you're not automotive guy, i understand
let me sum it up
brand new/replacement = brand new engine, brand new transmission, brand new design
facelift - upgrade abit here and there/improvement
saga from 2008 until now is still facelift....still the same engine, still the same transmission, still the same interior

proton has a 10 year cycle for each of their model
we're not toyota, facelift also call brand new
*
Where got same engine transmission la.

2011 changed from IAFM 4AT to IAFM+ CVT
2016 changed from IAFM+ CVT to VVT CVT

Yes it's still the S4PE Campro but with changes to the head and internals, just like the City is still using the L15 engine from 2003 but with improvements.

Not to mention, the Saga VVT has a completely new upper body even though the platform is still from the BLM/Savvy. The new Vios is still using the same platform from the 2007 dugong but you'd be hard-pressed to claim it's just a facelift right?
