yup i apply online, which meant that i need to create a "real me" login credentials first..just need to create an account in NZ immi..that nzd295 is visa application cost online..u will pay when submitting the online form.. then i just gave my account login and password to JM. they will help me to decide which form i need/dont need to fill and what docs i need to prepare.. its much easier than just to find out which form u need to fill in and end up u filled the wrong form.. it will take time.. u will need to go verify your docs (mostly i did at pesuruhjaya sumpah) and email them to JM..there is also a visit to kementerian luar (asking for surat kelakuan baik).. JM will compile your docs, fill in your online form (based on info you provide in a "hard-copy" form) and submit to immi online.. there's absolutely no need to go to singapore.. iinm, no mention of singapore at all in the process.. its all done online.

but u mentioned u will start this july. seems like not much time. there are few things u need to settle before applying NZ visa, which will take time, such as medical check up.. u need to get full mark for that. if not, need to repeat tests (i myself took more than 3 week for that, need to go back and forth to the medical center to get perfect "score"). then about rental house/accomodation, have u dealt with that? took time also.. this time of year, quite limited flats available.. anyway, if u happen to come to palmy north and maybe enroll in the same uni as i am, pm me if u need help. cheers and good luck.

You need to be in your good shape a day before the check up.. no coffee, eat healthy, not too much sugar. i failed one test, i forgot which.. but i never thought that would happen to me.. repeating another test is quite costly.. and i think my wife and i spent extra rm500 just to repeat 3 test iirc..

i'm guessing you arent married yet. so should be much easier for you. no need for the kids to be taking the test too..

ahh.. wellington.. ok.. but if u got the choice for hall residence, should get that first.. should be cheaper than flats (unless if u want to rent room only). normally if u want to opt for flat, u need to deal with agent..no direct deal with landlord (afaik, at least in my area-palmy north).. otherwise, if family can kasi tumpang, ok also.. helps u to delve in to the kiwi culture.

For NZ visa, all kena.. blood, urine.. and you cannot do it at any hospital..must do at NZ immi panel medical center only.. they have some kind of online reporting system that they submit directly to immi. in kl area, Life Care medical center at bangsar is the panel for nz immi.
