The study is inaccurate, it doesn't quite make sense.

If they'd like to stimulate the local market, please, remove the road tax, AND not only you'll get better sales, you'll get less road accident deaths, and prolly less car thefts too, as that should hit the demand for 'stolen items'.

stupid government

which government in the right mind would abolish road tax? why is it less road accidents? wouldn't it be more cars, therefore more accidents? I can't imagine how jamm it would be if got so many cars rolleyes.gif

I hv a strong feelin they'll only gv vouchers tat r not exchangable for cash. Otherwise how can it help d so called car-sales-slump?
*
That's what I thought also. And most probably can only buy proton cars with the voucher. If the deal with vw is off, proton gonna have a big problem unless government do something to help them.

What i heard from a relative who works in Federal Auto, total car sales in msia is slumping.Whether this measure is imposed to help proton or proton and friends im not sure.

Car sales are quite bad nowadays. Things get worse when the bank nowadays hard to give loan

Anyway, if they really want to help proton, i think they should give 5k for any old car that still can move.

Btw, what are you guys complaining about. It is not like they force you to scrap your car or anything rolleyes.gif
