well … sums up our season … inconsistent and players are not good enough.

guess rebuilding will take a little while more since no UCL money for us.

next season is going to be a tough season. let's hope unai get the players he wants - cheaper less-known players who willing to fight than our current bunch of prima-donnas.

REBUILD GUNNERS.

Unai already mentioned some player must go. So I guess he has some plans already. Not expecting much next season still it will be awhile before we can actually compete properly.
*
well, I guess next season's target is very similar with this season … 4th place.

hope we can get rid of some players.

players n manager is to be blamed for this season's failure … but let's back unai for next season, hopefully some sign of recovery.

i prefer to blame the board too..
*
I would love to blame the board too but nothing will change there. it's like talking to a tree.

Realistically I hope that Unai would be given a reasonable warchest for some new players and get rid of the deadwoods.

We definitely won't be shopping like a rich man, so I hope unai and the scouting team would be able to bring in some unknown players who are decent enough.

Reading about Kroenke.. He definitely won't sell the club ever, well unless he dies and his son does that. Also seeing how different American clubs are managed.. No wonder la we aren't getting much money. laugh.gif

Dude will probably destroy the club, as if not already.
*
i'm sure Kroenke won't destroy the club but he is not improving it either.

he only interested in the P&L of the club not the fans or trophy ranting.gif

Well he said he has a plan. His plan will only work if he was able to own Arsenal as a whole. Well we shall see if that ever happens really. So far he is invested elsewhere, but yeah American investment aren't so big like EPL clubs.. so that's one thing.

People also think Newcastle will be a bigger club in a few years time, if that Arab money comes in. Their new manager target is Mourinho or Wenger laugh.gif
*
well, good for Newcastle since the Arab are more willing to spend.

I think Mourinho would be more suitable for instant success as Wenger would not be willing to spend the money tongue.gif .

Reyes is the kind of player, I recalled we spent 15M, 15 years ago.....

With that sort of budget, we can only get 1 player from a decent club these days.
*
Reyes was a freaking signing ... I can only imagine the wonderful memories he would have brought us if he stays long enough for us. same with anelka.

QUOTE(sigheart @ Jun 26 2019, 03:17 AM)
Anelka a definite yes but Reyes, nah, I highly doubt so. Reyes would've just regressed with us if he stayed any longer than he did. IMO we sold him at the right time. He would've created toxic memories instead.

By the time he left he had been ruined by Scholes and the ugly Neville sisters back in the day when Sir Alex Ferguson and Man U had the refs in their pocket. He was also homesick and his performances had begun to show of player who no longer wanted to remain at the club. Not to mention the Spanish radio prank incident with an alleged Real Madrid "representative" which turned a lot of fans against him.

Wonderful player but sadly just not up there mentally.
*
I still think Reyes would be an arsenal legend if he stays on with his exceptional skill. but I do agree with you that he wasn't mentally ready for us (or playing abroad) and his homesick.

Zaha to Arsenal 80M. Kata ada 30M je 🤔

i don't think we have that much to spend unless it was funded with a sales like Aubameyang to Man Utd, which i hope not.

If we sell our top goal scoring player again to a rival who have the same ambition to be in the top 4, that is not business, its dumb and plain stupid.
*
for kronke it's totally business, since he is not putting in a dime to our transfer kitty.

anyway unless the player wanted to leave (like sanchez), if not then no way we should sell our best players to a competitor.

and he did it bar once with an even more average squad. We had far worst than Mustafi too
*
yes he did it with the financial constraint, however then competitors then wasn't as strong. Of course the more consistent team during that period was Man Utd and Chelsea.
Liverpool and Spurs wasn't consistent while City just got their wealth.

wenger could have done better during his last 2-3 years, the players that he brought in wasn't as good or consistent.

Can’t fault him....he was in quite good form and the stars was aligned nicely for him to shine...

he is good, n of course he thinks he's too good for arsenal.

could easily be an arsenal legend if he choose to stay with us.
