Ya no need activate, your license been activated with ur hardware ID, your hardware ID saved inside Microsoft server and it will activated back once the hardware ID is matched.

Hi, you can replace SSD, install any m.2 nvme ssd, adding or replace RAM anything you can do. As long as you do not replace your motherboard. Windows 10 license key was bound with your motherboard hardware ID.
Just get prepare at least a 8GB USB drive, then copy the Windows 10 installer with Rufus. Then boot into the USB drive Windows installation, delete all partition, recreate new, format it then install Windows 10. That's it. If the Windows installer ask you to insert license key, you just select "I do not have any license key" to skip this option. It doesn't matter because your motherboard already registered with Windows 10 license.

If it's an OEM yes you can still use the same license key, save the license key if you have it, but it will automatically activated once you reinstall it. I did it on my sister laptop where the key is OEM and I didn't need to activated it, it automatically says registered product.

No need for key if the OS has already been activated on your device. Have done the same for my laptop more than once.

Getting Started

Yes, windows key is stored inside the bios. No activation issue, unless you change the motherboard
