I like casing like Gigabyte Aurora able to accomodate water cooling system easily.

I'll probably get something like that in 2009. Watercooling plus aluminium casing.

So many subwoofers.

That is gonna cause an earthquake sometime in the future.

I think the Klipsch woofer and its speakers is already like almost 200 watts of power plus the rest.

Dear all,

Earlier I had trouble posting my work station images.

I have resorted to using imageshack website which seems to be a better choice.

Hopefully this will be big enough for you guys.

Here it goes

@ flatfinger

I was always interested in getting the Gigabyte 3D Galaxy watercooling system with the Gigabyte Aurora 3D casing. Is your gpu watercooled as well?

How's the noise and the performance for the water cooler? I was in the midst of considering both Gigabyte and Swiftech water cooling system. My preference is for latter as it is well known for its quality and not leaking.

gpu nope...i just used evercool turbo2 for it..

gigabyte ready kit is good plus the blue color...but the radiator size only can mount 1 120mm fan...noise a bit when full speed coz the 120mm gigabyte rad fan speed max at 2900rpm..min is 1400rpm quite silent...performance wise...i  used it since opteron era... thumbup.gif

if u like custom go for swiftech...coz u can choose all the thing by urself...especially the radiator..u can choose either 1, 2 or 3 120mm fan that can be mount...but be careful to make sure ur pump hav enough force to push ur loop setup...but the price oso will custom larr... whistling.gif  whistling.gif  whistling.gif

its ur choice...ur money...ur pc... icon_idea.gif

Thanks. It is still a long way for me to build my next PC probably in 2009. However, I do really want to try watercooling for once.

I am staying away from both Coolermaster's, Thermaltake's products as I have read the reviews that they aren't really good and prone to leakage.

I think Corsair's one which uses most stuff from Swiftech sounds quite good. As long I can fit a 120mm fan on the radiator will do, don't really want those that I can fit 2 fans on it because it would be far too big unless I can fit the Radiator in the casing instead of outside (for looks purposes) but that would reduce the effectiveness of the watercooling system.

Do you reckon should I watercool Gpus as well? Probably good idea to get SLI straight away. However changing Gpus would be a headache as I would need to disassemble the watercooling setup and that costs my leisure time.

So many factors to think about.

Though I have posted before, I am posting the update of my rig plus a tribute for this PC.

A tribute to my Gaming PC. Thanks to the hectic working hours plus my dedication for gym, I have neglected my Gaming PC significantly.

I could only spend time with my Gaming PC in the weekend. Due to the nature of my work, I can't stand another minute in front of the LCD monitor when I get back from work.

Here are some photos of my gaming PC taken last year 2007 and early this year 2008.

@ Aspire Acer

The speaker model is Logitech Z5500, bought from Melbourne for Au$400, roughly equivalent to RM1,100.

Currently it is being sold as low as Au$363 in Australia from MSY.

I don't get it why Logitech speakers are so expensive in Malaysia.

Logitech Z5500 is made in China.

Pretty sure China is a lot closer to Malaysia than both the US and Australia.

By right, we should be paying less than RM1k for these speakers. Given that Logitech probably could save on transport cost.

Maybe there isn't a big market in Malaysia?

Hmmm

quite expensive,because RM1000 can get samsung 22''.
somemore i think the samsung lcd monitor price keep drop.

It might be expensive in terms of Malaysian Ringgit, but in reality. Au$363 it 70% of per week pay in Australia (and that's the minimum for working full time)

Whereby, RM1,000 is equivalent to most people half a month pays over here. That is 50% of your per month salary in Malaysia.

There is a huge difference between our purchasing power and Australian purchasing power.

..but keep in mind that services/utilities/food/COLA in general are relatively expensive in australia as well.

The Purchasing Power Parity, adjusted for differences in cost of living, in first world countries is roughly three times that of developing countries.

So the panel is probably THREE TIMES more affordable if you are working in australia.

I am not working in australia. sad.gif
Services yes, Utilities yes but for raw food no way. Uncooked or food without services in Australia is far cheaper than Malaysia. Especially meat, fruits and vegetables.

Try buying a uncooked steak in Malaysia and Australia. Or Seafood? Ham? and alcohols.

Or let's compare apples and oranges.

See it's a huge difference.

Nah, i stand by what i said: It is three times more affordable...

GDP per capita:
Malaysia: 12,754  Australia: 34,943

rump steaks go for about AUD8.99/kg (RM27)
premium steaks are about AUD18.00/kg  (RM54 eg. trim rib eye, sirloin etc)

I cant remember the exact price of lamb chops, but i do know they are significantly more expensive in australia (funny, cuz australian lamb chops are cheaper in malaysia) although they are probably three times more affordable to locals earning australian wages than to malaysians buying at malaysian prices.

As for fruits and vegetables, .. well, you could look to paying about RM10 for 4 medium sized peaches. Local watermelons are about RM6 per kg. Papayas are really expensive too. Those large succulent aus mangoes you see in the supermarket typically sell for AUD2.99 each (RM10). Grapes can be quite cheap if there is a surplus in summer, around RM6-7/kg.

Vegetables in general are a few times the price compared to malaysia.

Dont get me started on seafood. Raw or served, it's really really expensive in australia. Period.

Spirits cost about the same price (surprise surprise), although due to stiff competition you may get some bundle deals. A bottle of jack's or bacardi typically costs about RM150*, while a generic bottle of gin may cost you only RM80*.

Wine can be very cheap if there is a surplus BAD vintage. (take note of the word "BAD"). RM24 for 4 liters of wine is the cheapest i've ever seen. Tastes like crap and the guys at the halls even put it in the common room cuz they couldnt stand it... and guess what, nobody touched that stuff, it's vile..

Reasonable wines are around AUD20 (RM60) per bottle, although you may get lucky with a AUD12-18 dollar bottle of wine as well...

So i guess it's quite cheap to get wasted if you are willing to tolerate cheap wines ("goon").
I dont drink beer, but i do know a typical premium lager is around RM10 per bottle/stubby.
*std 700ml bottles.

Very apt and good arguement with facts and evidence.

I stand corrected.

No offense, why would you buy a Soundblaster X-Fi Elite Pro to use on a Altec Lansing 4121 speakers?
