Nice phone! No notch. One contender for replacing my ZMP M1.

Now waiting for JerryRigEverything to open up the camera and see how reliable is the moving part.

I think won't be that bad. I don't watch utube but gaming alot too. That time i use zenfone 5z can still last me around 5 hrs + SOT with around 2 to 3 hrs gaming.
5z battery that time only 3.3k if not wrong. So this 5k is really a big bonus.
*
Trust me...once you got 5k you'll never go back.

Oh well...they have to sacrifice some features to keep the price low. Can't have everything. Just like when OnePlus started their business. They had to sacrifice some features to keep the price low. Now that they start to add more features, their price also start to go up. For the price you are getting for ZF6, I think it check a lot of features that I want.

pros:
5000mah battery
Full screen no notch or hole
almost stock android
front and back camera always best quality
don't mind the flip as I don't spy on people
flip panorama (that's what excite me, LOL)
snapdragon SoC

cons:
no OLED
no OIS

The night mode can be improved through software optimization. The Sony IMX lense they uses is capable of that. Or can just Pixel Cam port later. EIS also can help to improve the lack of OIS. Google has proven that good EIS can be as good as OIS.

After installing GCam to Pocophone F1, I "won't" buy any flagships without OIS unless the price is the same as F1...

Even with the same Sony IMX363 sensor in the F1/Pixel 3/3A, the OIS still wins altogether... My old Mate10P and Zenfone 3 Zoom is taking way better still pix in low-light with or without flash compared to F1 GCam combo...
*
Better than Pixel's Cam that uses only EIS?

BTW OIS/EIS is only important when taking videos and night shots.

Such a right timing...the right timing for AsusTek US to penetrate North American market...

Yes, right timing for Asustek. If they play their cards right they will benefit from this.

Next year will be too late. This is the best time for them when someone is being blocked by US.

There are no reason for them not to bring ZF6 to Malaysia market unless they are getting out of mobile business in Malaysia. Or there is a different model coming like Lite version or Pro version and so on. Then again, they will still bringing in this model. It's a matter of when.

Head to head with K20 Pro.

Don't think it will be that cheap. USD499 = RM2091. Add to the fact that it will always be more expensive sold here, I estimate price to be RM2199.

You gotta be kidding me. Better OS? MIUI is clunky and slow and bloated. Watch a few of the ZF6 reviews, almost all of them praise Asus for going with almost stock Android and ditching that clunky ZenUI.

Cause xiaomi provide better bang for bucks. They did a lot of things right for the price you pay for them. MIUI is definitely not one of the things done right. They have better branding position than Asus in mobile phone market. That is why better resale value for Xiaomi phones.

And what does that battery test video have to do with good OS? ZF6 is not even there.

We share information
We are phone freak enjoy all the models every hi end models
The os sure affected with the battery consumption as nubia red magic 3 with 5000mAh battery lose to 4k battery phone
*
Ok we share information with technologies that we like.

Nubia, I have never tried. But there is a reason why they are not that famous even when they have really beautiful designs. Battery optimization is something that MIUI done well. Not excellent like OxygenOS or Pixel but it is good. That doesn't detract from the fact that the MIUI interface if clunky and bad. Add to the fact that starting with MUI 10, there are lots of Ads that comes with lots of the system apps. That is like really shady of Xiaomi to do that. Their excuse is they sell you the phone cheap cheap, they have to make money other way. Their promise is always to make only 5% profit margin from hardware. Nobody ask them to do it and that doesn't give them right to put ads in the phone. I read some of these ads cannot even be turned off easily.

Anyway if you like MIUI that's fine with me. I understand some people like the interface compared to clean UIs. Cheers.

The SD855, 5000mAh battery competitor has arrived though

https://www.soyacincau.com/2019/06/11/red-m...malaysia-price/

Pretty good price too!
*
Price is definitely good for what you are getting. Targeting gamers for this. The built-in fan is really interesting.

However, the camera quality of this phone is not as good as ZF6 considering even ZF6's camera is okay only. And yeah, the phone is just too big for daily usage unless you have a "purse" to carry the phone. Another minus point I will not get this phone is the firmware. It is not as mature as other China phone's ROM and updates will also be less frequent.

The phone would most probably be coming to Malaysia. Either officially or imports. If you cannot wait or must have official phone then just go get whatever is available in the market. If can wait then wait else just go get other. Stop bitching and asking Asus whether it's coming or not. It's only a phone, not like end of the world not getting it. Learn to stop being obsessed with objects. More important things in life than to be obsessed with techs.

Hi bro. If ZF6 camera is okay2 only to you, then what phone camera perform better?
*
Reading from reviews, ZF6's camera is not that great. Other better phone's camera include One Plus 7 Pro, Pixel 3a, all other flagships of Samsung, Huawei and Apple.

Having said that, what is good is when you flip it into selfie cam, then it beats a lot of other phone's selfies.

As overall package, this is still a decent camera which is why I am interested with it.

For me what is good in this zf6 camera is you do not need to move for snaping panorama and have movement detector for catch object you lock in
*
Yeah..a few gimmicks that are actually useful which is why they are getting a lot of praise. However, at usd500, they are not in a favourable position in terms of getting people to buy. People who want cheap will go with k20 pro. People who want good quality will go for oneplus7 or oneplus7 pro. Their main contender is oneplus7 which is sort of an upgrade from 6t. Very mature OS and quality. Their usage of IPS screen is the downfall of them. If only they manage to push in an AMOLED screen, I am sure they will be selling like hotcakes.

Oh well...you win some, you lose some.

You will get for 1999? Even with it's IPS screen? Once you go AMOLED you will never look at another IPS.

What so good about amoled
Make ur pic take by camera look good ?
Prefer cheaper price compare screen

Amoled have better black thus making contrast very sharp. So technically yes, your pictures will "look" better.

Cheaper price compare screen? Sure..K20 is cheaper and have amoled screen. So is Mi 9, only RM1599 with Amoled also.

Another con of amoled is the screen replacement is very expensive. 2 years down the road if you ever need to replace the screen might as well buy a new phone....
