Will adjusting the aircon temperature spoil the aircon in the long run?
Cuz my car is auto climate control.. So my friend told me not to adjust the temperature as it will cause the aircon to break in the long run... So was wondering should I stop using the auto climate control and set it to a temperature permanently?

if set too high (not cold) the compressor clutch will kick in and out more often, probably thats where the story comes from.

Set it to 23-25°C and you will be fine. That range is comfortable for most humans.

Should I just let the climate control in auto mode?
Or set it at a permanent temperature ah?

If like this this kinda function is sorta like redundant hmmmmm

Set to 23-25°C, comfortable range for most people, both in the car and indoor.

Proper A/C maintenance, change in-car aircon filter every 20,000km or 1 year, whichever comes first. Re-gas, re-oil, and clean coils every 40,000km or 2 years, whichever comes first. Re-gas to get the correct refrigerant level, re-oil so the compressor will be properly lube, and clean coils to ensure the cooling coil and condenser coil are clean and able to absorb/dissipate heat properly. If no maintain, whatever things will spoil.

Also, important to find a shop who really know about your car air-conditioning system, most cars use the same R-134a gas, but the amount is different between models and manufacturers. The compressor oil can be different between cars.

Most of climate control aircon mix cold air with heater, that say, the motor controlling the lever responsible of air mixture will keep working to meet the desired temperature.

I would go for lowest temp with lower blower speed, unless it's too cold then I would increase the temperature.
