its ok for cabinet use, for kitchen table top, usually go with more durable woods, i usually use oak, but plenty of options like beech or sapele etc ,
since already done, not much can be done, just enjoy it as it does looks good.. biggrin.gif
the maker should have explain such things to owners though. sweat.gif

I wouldn't even consider nyatoh for countertop especially for wet kitchen. Semangkok has the hardness of similar to rubberwood. In terms of durability and Janka hardness you want to use balau, cengal, belian, merbau for local woods. I like American Walnut and oak too but wood are harder to take care and not as hygienic to prepare food. I will go with Silestone quartz for my countertops.

No you don't. It depends on ground condition. Furthermore if u intend to do piling, its almost like rebuild not renovation.

Hi Ts,

Mind if I asking which brand & model of cctv+alarm you are using? You installed both during which stage of your reno?
Any feedback? Im now surveying for my upcoming dream house but I've 0 experience on reno.

Wah TS ur house so nice, can I ask u some questions as I recently bought a double storey 24x64 built up only 1650sqf. Everything not usable, wiring and piping all those also need to do, basically need to reno from scratch. 4 bedroom 3 bath. Can I know in your experience, roughly how much to reno all? Let say exclude extension but do u know like ask architect to draw and get approval for extension cost how much?
