Today ayam was at klia2

When entering the depature, i see AA staffs checking the weight of all trolley carry on luggages. many passengers terkantoi and cannot get into security straight away.

luckily ayam used backpack so no check. but still need to take off shoes at the security.

it's random spot check enforcement, not every time.
anyway, if just carry reasonable sized backpack, they wont check even if content actually >7kg.

Honestly they shouldn't stop at the front. should stop at gate. every gate should have a weight scale.

sick and tired of those people bringing lots of bags up the plane. all suka suka bring big bag. one person 3-4 bags lagi

Yes, only Air Asia puts a weighing scale at departure gate.

Now everyone can fly.

i experience before ...the flight on CNY .....hamkaling all bring carry on cabin bag

overhead storage full then the bag also cannot sumbat underneath the seat (the one behind me sumbat till my life jacket came off then i just put the life jacket in my front pocket)

They ask you to hold on to your bag when take off and landing and put beside the aisle beside seat of C & D

bodoh sial everyone here

u do realise that if u bring more weight = the airplane heavier = higher chance of accident + not enough fuel + need to put in more fuel

air asia is doing it for u

so stop carrying overweight and start carrying BELOW weight.

Its a reasonable requirement from them lar.

There were days when you have old ah peks and aunties abusing the carry-on allowance and dragging 10 - 15 kg luggages into the cabin (I know, because I helped some of these weak ****-asses store their luggage into the cabin, and I immediately could tell their luggage exceeded 10 kg, and some could easily reach 15kg).

We already have so many airlines in trouble / losing money. If it ultimately filters down to which airline can control their cost and expense the most, then hardcore enforcers like AirAsia will be among the ones to survive. MAS would probably have bungkus sooner if not for support from G.

Sometimes, it is so hard to understand people... the rules and instructions clearly state 7kg, but folks wanna push their luck and then complain like mad when they are kantoi-ed....

As usual, Malaysia is extremely weak in enforcing law. Airlines stupidity and Tak apa attitude contribute to this. So both gomen and airline bodoh.

they only do that for some special flight destination that famous for cheapskate people

for every weight they add it will take more fuel , so every times they will measure the used fuel to determine which flight have more cheapskate people

It’s a good move and they really enforced it. Some uncle aunties like to bring those large/heavy luggage and then fully occupy the overhead storage. Some inconsiderate assholes usually shove those luggage against your stuff on the overhead storage. Knn ccb

What i find stupid is if you are a couple, share 1 beg 9kg they deny entry. But kasi keluar 2kg put in 2nd beg to make 1st beg 7kg and they would allow entry

if the item transferred into the 2nd bag and does not exceed 7kg, it would be fair, no?

then the average weight for each passenger would still be 7kg.

what i find stupid would be that the 7kg rule is applied for the total weight of your hand-carry, and they only check your luggage. e.g. my luggage 6.5kg, but i am carrying a laptop bag which is another 1kg+, and I'm still allowed on board.

its like the other user pointed out, we're weak when it comes to enforcing law.

Too heavy to carry one shot 9kg to above compartment.
To protect you and the canin crew as well.

When entering the depature, i see AA staffs checking the weight of all trolley carry on luggages. many passengers terkantoi and cannot get into security straight away.

luckily ayam used backpack so no check. but still need to take off shoes at the security.

It’s a good move and they really enforced it. Some uncle aunties like to bring those large/heavy luggage and then fully occupy the overhead storage. Some inconsiderate assholes usually shove those luggage against your stuff on the overhead storage. Knn ccb

+1.

Dont forget those who unpack their luggages because their luggages are overweight at the check in counter holding everyone up.

it's random spot check enforcement, not every time.
anyway, if just carry reasonable sized backpack, they wont check even if content actually >7kg.
