Do you guys think it will enter Malaysian market?

Maybe as Pocophone F2 outside China. Will update later.

Xiaomi has just introduced the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro, dubbed the “Flagship Killer 2.0”. They both come with 48 MP main cameras, OLED panels with UD fingerprint scanners and an elevating cameras. The vanilla K20 is powered by the Snapdragon 730, while the Pro version sports a Snapdragon 855.

The screen is 6.39” in diagonal and comes with Full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 tall ratio. It is pretty much bezel-less, and that’s why the front-facing camera made its way to the pop-up mechanism from the top side. The Snapdragon 855 chipset was already teased, but now we know the K20 Pro arrives with 6/8 RAM and storage between 64 and 256 GB.

The 48 MP camera with Sony IMX586 sensor is just one of three in the main setup on the back. It is coupled with 13 MP secondary shooter with an ultra-wide-angle lens, while the third snapper (actually positioned above the first two) is a 8 MP telephoto unit.

As already teased earlier, it brings 960fps slow-mo video recording. The elevating selfie camera of the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro has a 20 MP sensor and of course it has AI capabilities.

Much like any other flagship, the Redmi K20 Pro’s battery, coming with 4,000 mAh capacity, also has fast-charging capabilities - it brings the 27W standard, already seen in the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Xiaomi Black Shark 2. Weibing claimed on stage it can charge 58% in 30 minutes and completely fill the power cell in 74 minutes.

The Redmi K20 devices will have Game Turbo 2.0 that allocates resources for gaming. In addition, the mode implements a smart switch from Wi-Fi to 4G networks for smooth connectivity and zero lag.

The Redmi K20 with its Snapdragon 730 is just the second smartphone on the market with the 8 nm process chip from Qualcomm. Although it has the same display and camera setup, the 48 MP main shooter is actually with the Sony IMX582 sensor. The battery has the same capacity, but charges at 18W rates.

Arriving in either Red or Blue, the price of the Redmi K20 is CNY1,999 for the 6/64 GB variant and CNY2,099 for the 6/128 GB variant.

The Redmi K20 Pro will have four versions for the regular phone and a fifth option, dubbed Avengers Edition, coming with some goodies in the retail box. Sadly, Weibing did not say anything about a launch or a price tag of the limited edition. Here's a list of the pricing of the regular Redmi K20 Pro:

RAM + Storage options Price in CNY Price in USD / EUR
6 GB + 64 GB 2499 $361 / €323
6 GB + 128 GB 2599 $377 / €337
8 GB + 128 GB 2799 $405 / €362
8 GB + 256 GB 2999 $434 / €388

Latest news regarding price.

The Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro flagship phones are scheduled to get unveiled on May 28. The pre-sales of the Redmi K20 phone has already started in China. Previous reports have suggested that the Redmi K20 Pro will be a more powerful smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC and the K20 could be featuring a less powerful SoC. A freshly leaked poster on Weibo has revealed that the Redmi K20 Pro will be arriving in three variants. The pricings of the three models of the phone have also been disclosed in the new leak.

The leaked poster of Redmi K20 Pro that has appeared on the Chinese microblogging site has revealed that its base model with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage will be priced at 2,599 Yuan (~$376). The second model with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage will cost 2,799 Yuan (~$405). The highest configuration variant of the Redmi K20 Pro with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage will be arriving with 2,999 Yuan (~$434) price tag.

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is set to unveil its first ever flagship smartphone, the K20 Pro, on May 28. This phone has been leaking like crazy, and Redmi GM Lu Weibing has been slowly drip-feeding us information about the upcoming device codenamed "Demon King".

In the latest such Weibo post, Lu Weibing reveals that the K20 Pro will have a headphone jack as well as Hi-Res Audio certification. With all this talk about the K20 Pro, we've almost forgotten that there's a non-Pro K20 coming too.

Thankfully new information from China claims to shed light on what the main difference between the two models will be, and that is the chipset. While the K20 Pro has already been officially confirmed to rock the Snapdragon 855, the K20 is allegedly going to have to settle for the recently announced Snapdragon 730, the new king of the mid-range SoCs.

While it's obviously a step down from the 855, the 730 is definitely no slouch, but its presence should allow making the K20's price even lower than the K20 Pro's. Interestingly the K20 is said to keep most of the other features of the Pro, including the 6.39" 1080x2340 touchscreen, triple rear camera setup (with a 48 MP main shooter), and 4,000 mAh battery. The K20 model purportedly shown in the very blurry image above has 6GB of RAM but there may be other versions with differing amounts as is tradition with Chinese smartphones.

Oh...you mean waited for F2 since F1 launch. Well, there are a few more contender like Oppo Reno and Asus Zenfone 6. Both are notchless flagship with flip camera. Right now, I am leaning towards Asus ZF6 cause of it's almost android experience and 5000mah battery. I do not like MIUI.

Not since F1 launch, just since December. waited for Snapdragon 855 actually.

not surprising since it has OLED display. That alone will jack up the price by around RM200.

Im down for this, but due to the motorized popup camera.. Feels worrying that it might get spoilt easily due to accidentally auto popup when inside pants. Or due to firmware bugs

suspect k20 pro wont be coming to malaysia because the price and spec will definitely destroy mi 9 sales in malaysia.

If that happen i iz sad. have to rely on grey importer.

hope directD will bring it in or any company

Same here. Waiting for pro. But most important is how they price it locally. If too close to mi 9, gonna be a tough choice, as I still like the wireless charging. But lack of 3.5 is kinda PITA.

I just dont want notch dew drop whatever they called it. A bit dissapointed no wireless charging. We'll see
