When battery not connected to the vehicle or when engine is off (alternator not charging), its normal to be in that range.
When engine on, it usually follow the alternator voltage.

Dun say the battery tester rosak, later the French guy (DHC from France) not happy tongue.gif

Because one plate is supply 2.2v, in series of 6 equals 13.2v. Factoring internal resistance, shouldn't it be around or higher than 12.8v?

This camel is Q85/D23L that you pasang in mazda?

I tested all the Varta/Gp/Camel/FIAMM, they are around the same. Tried with other battery testers, same.
And when the engine start and alternator start charging, voltage indicator inside diagnostic tool and battery tester also match. So the battery tester should be good enough.

I believe you can pump it up to 13.2v easily when connected to battery charger (if its fully charged), else usually I notice 12.7 +-

Yes. Q85 in Mazda 3

i see....ini macam ar....

Mazda battery current sensor quite a fickle, around 12.5v-12.6v will show warning indicator....

Sorry i didn't buy from you although i asked you for quote. Not too long after receiving your reply, my car cranking much slower than usual. I guess almost dying, to much risk to wait for delivery from your end. So i changed it on my end.

Anyway, do you know where to source battery heat shield?

12.5-12.6 when engine on? Macam alternator sudah nak kong. [12.5-12.6 when engine off, its fine smile.gif ]
CX5 usually around 13.3v, Mazda2 usually around 13.6/13.7

Battery heat shield. Nope. U can DIY some aluminum foil if you want to.

I mean voltage when engine off. I saw error message, off engine and measure voltage using multimeter, at the around 12.6v....

Then, i damn kiasi, plug in charger overnight. Next day restart car, error message gone.

Unless the sensor damn advanced, can also measure CCA on the fly....

I dun drive a Mazda, I'm not sure but it think it should be fine. If you din charge, the next day the car can start?
By right u can just start the car, let the alternator charge the battery a while will do, no need charge overnight .....

Many uses DIN90/95 to replace DIN100 somehow (coz not many of them bring in DIN100 AGM)

I remember I was selling GP DIN95 for Rm1000, Fiamm DIN90 for RM1.2k
Varta DIN90 AGM, I remember than RM1450

Such pricing is good for the consumers.

Ask your supplier to sponsor a Korea Varta and a Camel then cut away and compare the plates inside lar. I know the Korea Varta looks good on the casing but they had significant weight loss on the plates.

just curious, i presume Varta Korea vs Germany there is some difference on the AGM battery on how long it last.

Mine is germany and still going strong...to about 8 yrs now...but compared to Korean Varta most of my friends only last 3-4 yrs, any reason for this?

Most of the Varta Germany I saw max out around 5 years.... but 8 years? wow.

1. I do not produce those batteries myself, so I'm not sure why Germany AGM last longer than Korea AGM.
2. I only can speculate that back then Varta AGM Germany was being manufactured at condition way over spec so it can last really long.
3. Varta AGM Korea only available after Johnson Controls acquired Varta (where people start to see blue dynamic, black dynamic, and they thought these also from Germany) Initial stage I was told Korea can produce up to DIN95 AGM, anything bigger, nope (that's what the news I know 2 years ago, now not sure).
4. As for Johnson Controls Korea AGM, they dun produce them as over spec as those previously made in Germany anymore, thus the price cheaper and more people can "use" Varta AGM

If I'm Varta, I will ensure the battery will last longer than warranty period but will not last for a long long time, else there will be no recurring business.

* 8 years ago, Johnson Controls if not mistaken, haven't purchase Varta just yet.
* Mercedes apparently switching to FIAMM from Varta as their OEM battery supplier

Btw, what car do you drive?
What cars do your friends drive?
Both of them with start stop?

These factors also affect battery lifespan.

Can always drop by to check the battery health smile.gif

Haven't finalise the list yet.
F30 320D can use, diesel 6-month warranty.

"still going strong", u need the check battery health percentage to determine how many percent of lifespan left. Not just can start the car mean still "very very strong" smile.gif

They are all the same size dimension. smile.gif

26L = size
The front two numbers are the capacity, higher the better.

Choose the highest spec that you can afford

DIN55/60/62L all the same.
Camel only bring in din60 for the time being but a bit low spec, only 500A CCA

GP DIN62L 580A CCA more recommended, RM290 each.
1 year warranty.

We do not have any DIN80 or DIN80 AGM in stock currently.

Only have DIN75L and DIN70 AGM in stock. Your car with start stop?
Currently using what battery?

V40 T5 engine bay can fit din80? Need to double confirm.

Do you come over to Penang island for battery installation? My battery in F10 almost 7 years liao so wanted to standby to change the battery. Initially wanted to get Varta but after your explanation, might change to Camel brand.

Please contact our Penang branch manager 0102077751 for the arrangement (charges incurred etc)

Hi I'm using Audi A3 1.8T with Stop Start. I have disabled the stop start(coded with Carista). Can use normal maintenance free battery instead of EFB or AGM?

I think supposed to use DIN70(expensive) was wondering if got cheaper alternative

It's always advisable to use back efb or agm, as these batteries have better power consistency compared to normal maintenance free battery.

Din72L 18 months warranty or Din75L 21 months warranty can be your consideration.
When battery too low spec, conti cars will easily have fault codes due voltage/ampere not sufficient/low spec
