Congratulations on the thread TS majorarmstrong! biggrin.gif

Btw, is it okay for you to tag this thread as "e wallet" thread, edit the title that goes with "Razer Pay Discussion Thread", and also provide some basic info about Razer Pay on your first post?

razer pay is last known as mol wallet and change name for few time.

It is the first few ewallet even before boost, wechat and touch n go.
that time, can add money to mol wallet with credit card. Now, no more.

Touch n go also start as beta test long time before boost.

Problem is, they were all flops.

Only Boost managed to start well, although I looked down on them few years ago, and ironically I'm using it now. biggrin.gif

Is the minimum amount of top up to e wallet still RM 30?

Just curious.

Yes, min rm30

Damn...

All e wallets should be RM 10 at minimum, even Mcash reduced the minimum amount to RM 10 already.

is ok, sure you will use it. So many vouchers release every week smile.gif

Nah, gave them a chance, never again.

Tons of issues, ridiculous minimum amount of top up, less merchants...

lol so you will give up Razer pay?
*
Most likely yes, but too much e wallets now...

Refer to my signature, those are the only e wallets that I'll use, only added TnG recently cuz I think they're acceptable.

Bigpay is a debit card, but not recognize by Razer Pay  laugh.gif

Technically it's a prepaid card, it took quite a while for others like Boost to recognize it though.

Please do not buy any Starbuck cards from 7-11 for now, they have issues.

Very bad experience first time buying from 7-11. Took 2 x RM 50 card, wanted to pay. Asked the cashier if can use RazerPay, he said cannot only cash. Asked him why cannot, gave a stare at him, then he said he can try.

Then I didn't notice he just scanned 1 card only, then I straight pay, wasted my discount (so only get RM 10 discount). Asked him why he just scanned 1 card, he said use RazerPay cannot pay 2 cards, I was really like WTF. Then just used another code to pay for the 2nd card.

Then tried to activate card, received notification card already registered. Called SB customer service, then was told that they have lots of issues with expired card sold by 7-11. Asked me return to 7-11 and ask for refund. I told him, I already opened both cards, how to return, moreover on the receipt clearly stated goods sold not refundable.

Then he said, they should know of the issues already, just ask me to try. I'm baffled that if they already knew it, why still selling the card, should have removed everything from the shelved.

As expected, with the damn blur cashier, he refused. I don't blame him, how would he knows if I've not reloaded the credit already, since the card already opened.

Then SB customer service said just wait 2 weeks they try to resolve it with 7-11.

What an experience, so please, for those haven't bought yet, don't buy SB card until they resolve this issue

Sounds more like 7e's fault to me, they should be cautious enough to prevent their gift cards from getting scratched by stealthy cheapskates. The fact that the area where they usually place their gift cards are prone to getting scratched cuz normally the staff wouldn't monitor that area.

Already boycotted 7e for ages now, cuz their stuff are quite expensive anyways.

It is free. I know people have done that but the hassle of RM 50 per transaction.
Anyway, I didn't bother to try as I'm not a fan of cashing out for all my wallets.
*
Same here, the only scenario when I had to cash out was either when I reloaded a lot and didn't manage to use it due to BS reasons given by the cashier or I won extra rewards from certain campaigns.

But it's good to have the option to cash out and free of charge.

happy to see traffic coming into this thread
there is nothing i could contribute, more of a consumer of this thread
unker already old and exposure to ewallet world is just recently since January

There's no denying that Razer Pay's community is growing, although by not that much, but at least it still brings some competition to the e wallet market, their biggest problem is small merchant base and unreasonable amount of minimum reload to e wallet, they gotta step up their game...

Btw, you contributed a lot by giving people a proper thread to discuss everything about Razer Pay, gotta thank you for that... nod.gif

I raised an issue with RP CS before & I found them to be much more "human" & responsive compared to let's say Boost. Let's hope that it's not a one-time thing. sweat.gif
*
Boost was actually more "human" back then...

This shows that monopoly should never happen, and imagine if Boost is like Grab right now... icon_idea.gif
