Is there any company in Malaysia that still using COBOL?
How much is the latest salary?

20 years ago, someone was angry with me because I didn't know COBOL but C/C++. Now, I upgraded from C/C++ to Java, and other languages.
The COBOL programmer probably still doing her job cause the banks won't be able to get rid of their mainframe COBOL program. And she might getting good pay. But don't think there will be many new jobs like that. They will be kept until the programmer is expired or the bank close....

That why, it very hard to get in Malaysia. No one want to learn n do. Have to source from overseas.

Think as opportunity, not easy to replace.

Only 9k ish? I thought with the demand for cobol devs and scarcity of the developer, it would be higher?

Overseas market pays higher no?

Maybank still used COBOL. You can apply there and search for MSS. Malaysian Shared Services...
