I have a doubt on my mum's 4 months old Kancil 660EX. The idling speed of the engine when cold (morning cold start) is very high, approx. 2.2k rpm. Idling with aircon on with warmed engine is normal, which is around 1k rpm. But when the aircon is off, the idling increases to 1.2k instead of dropping Any Kancil owners here mind to share their views on this? I'm planning to visit the service center soon to clarify this matter

The rev setting is adjustable. Just tell the mechanic about that and he can tune it to 1k or below for u.

Yes i know the idling speed can be adjusted. I just wanted to know how's other kancil doing... Especially when the engine is cold, the rpm could shoot up to 2.5k sometimes The Kancil is equipped with auto choke. As the engine warms up, the rpm dropped to approx. 1.2k without aircon. I guess the auto choke feature is way lesser intelligent compared to my other EFI engine. jceh83, yup it's already been serviced once. Now clocked at 3700km

Early morning starts usually the automatic choke is applied thus the high rpm.

hmmm i wonder if the 660cc engine is same as my 11 year old kancil...could be the ratio of air/petrol mixture..wonder if that can be tuned for a kancil...

Same here, 2500rpm or higher on icy cold days. No worries, just get used to it.

After it get warm, then will back to normal..

Before that, his kancil damn cacat lah.RM50 only can go 165km.
