if we wanna use ddr3, did we have 2 buy another mobo that support ddr3???
ddr3 is better or ddr2??

ya need to get new motherboard

ddr3 sure is better than ddr2 because new technology and the speed of ram also is faster than ddr2 ram speed

Hey guys, I have a noob enquiry here. Anyone of you here have upgrade Dell's desktop RAM before?
It is because my sister just bought a new set from Dell but she needs to upgrade the RAM because it is too slow to be accepted, 512MB only. laugh.gif She plans to upgrade to 2GB. smile.gif
I am aware that the price for DDR2 is very cheap now, so it means all the available DDR2 RAM in the market now is compatibility to Dell's? However, I heard that Dell's desktops are kinda sensitive for RAM issue, is that true? ohmy.gif My sister is doomed then.
Most probably I'll be getting for her from LYN since it is so cheap here. sweat.gif I am quite afraid it is not suitable for her system, then it is going to be a waste.

Sorry if this enquiry doesn't suit here because I do not know where to post. Please don't flame me because of my noob-ness. notworthy.gif Thanks in advance! biggrin.gif
