how do i check the ram to see if it is ddr? i had it back when p3 released

SD and DDR chips are rectangular... u see how many partitions are there on the gold pins.... if 3 means it's the old SDRAM if 2 means it's DDR... if the chip is square it's DDR2... smile.gif

that's ok, ddr3 already out.. don't need to go for ddr2, terus jump to ddr3 lor

then when you're using ddr3, many of us still b using ddr2..

im looking high performance ram~which ram are good value for money??
any recommend? Crucial, OCZ, Team, GSKILL, GEIL, Patriot, Kingston, Corsair???

Crucial has really good performance for buck compared to other brands..

kingston corsair put out of equation terus, no need to bother tongue.gif

ocz & team very good oso according to reviews

patriot so-so i guess

gskill and geil, i don't know..

Now I use 2 512 667mhz and I make dual. So I want to add more ram.

The questions is better go 2 512 or I just add 1gb ram?

That's not gonna do any good either.
The best method is to sell your 2 x 512mb ddr2 ram and get 2 x 1gb ddr2 ram from the same manufacturer, same speed & same chipset. smile.gif

i still waiting to build new pc. still using my amd 64 3000+ without problem hoping ram price will not increase with insane price
