As long as you have done your research work properly, you shouldn’t be worrying about the viva. If you are not confident of your research work, you’re not eligible to become a doctorate. If you still have questions you can contact me

Depends on your examiner

I hv heard some horror stories where the viva voce lasted from the morning till the evening (with lunch break in between!).

If you had written your thesis well, then you shouldn't worry.

I was lucky to have nice examiners, so it wasn't too tough for me.

Sometimes you might meet arrogant examiners, I have witnessed some arrogant examiners faced by other students though.

It's like a simple presentation, presenting your work. If you're not confident in your project you should be worried, or else easy peasy.

Usually with strong publications help to substantiate your thesis. So, have you published or patent?

Sharing my experience.

My viva lasted for 1 hour and 30 minutes. I was lucky I had very nice examiners.
One of my examiners didn't even bother to show up during my viva because he had other things to attend to.

10 minutes introduction from viva committee
20 minutes presentation
40 minutes Q & A
10 minutes post viva session where we took photos together

Don't worry much if you already published scientific papers into reputable journals
In my case, I already had 3 Q1 publications during my PhD years so my examiners went easy on me biggrin.gif
