apparently many people here don't know what japan is using
they're not using tint
they're using dark glass
tint works both way, if outside cannot see inside, inside also cannot see outside
dark glass doesn't work both way, outside totally cannot see inside but inside still have a 50% can see outside

and in japan, only the rear side and rear window are dark glass(they still can see through it)
front windscreen and driver side window are clear

Well, for those full tinted, police can ask them to roll down windows or step out of the car when they want to check. After several times this will become nuisance for car owners

So, dark glass or tint is irrelevant.

japan very seldom will use tint when dark glass is allowed
dark glass is better in everyway
it doesn't work both ways, it filters heat very well and workmanship doesn't apply on dark glass unlike tint

why would japanese go for 0% tint which works both way when they can use dark glass which works 1 way only
i deal with these cars on daily basis, i know
out of maybe 10000 car that came into malaysia, i will only see 1 car that is actually using tint
that car usually is heavily modded, prolly yakuza car
