I love syrian hamster the most among all the hamsters.
Coz they are big size enough to cuddle and slow enough to catch it easily.

That day when you pass by Ipoh, I actually wanted to ask one of my friend to help me to get the bearbear from you first. But when I check with her, i discover that she is afraid of hamster.......

I likes syrian more than the other hamsters.

To me, they are very tame and gentle and easy to handle, based on my first 2 hammys .
I got them from a friend since small - they are really very gentle and tame. i usually let them loose around the porch while cleaning their cage and they never wander away. Both of them will stick to you. You can also hold them and they will sleep on your hand.

Then, I got a dwarf hamster (white in colour with a black stripe) from my cousin, who dump it to me. He told me all his hamster die except this one. Being ignorant that time (4 years ago), i housed it together with my 2 bear bears. The dwarf chase and bite my 2 hammys and both of them had to hide in the house together while it roam free downstairs. I seperate the dwarf from them after that and house it in a new cage. However, the dwarf is really very hostile. It will jump and bite my hand every time i put food / refill the water bottle / clean its cage. Really a bad experience!

I think syrian not that popular coz not much variety is available here. I only saw the short hair cinamon banded in a petshop in Ipoh.
My 2 bear bears last time were long hair cinamon banded. I surf the web and noted that syrian has a lot of colour and variety - and those are really pretty and nice but don't think they are available here.

My syrians were a gift from my friend - homebreed and raised.
I would guess that my cousin's dwarf hamster was bought from the petshop.

Hence, the most important thing is getting a hamster with good breeding and has been handled properly.

Actually, my bearbear quite picky - she will go and dig at the food bowl and pick up those that she likes only. Sometimes she bite only once and spit it out/throw it away and dig for another one. Hence, there is lots of food on her bedding surrounding her food bowl.
Based on my observation, she like seed type more (eg:kuaci) but don't really like the pellet type.

Actually my sis was the one that gave momo the ping pong ball. The first 2 days she just ignore the ping pong ball. Then, early in the morning saw her suddenly playing with it so quickly snap the photos lor.... . Try to snap a video also but when video, she got shy and left the ball.

hehe....momo has lots of funny antic, but sometimes hard to capture the moment.
Yalor, I put too much vege She didn't finished them usually after a day. But I like to see her munching on them...kekeke

It has nice fruity smells - I am feeding my momo this as well.

I think momo likes fresh food > pellets.
I give her fresh food everyday and usually it is almost finish the next day when i empty her bowl.
How do you weight the hammys? Do you use those small weighting machine in the kitchen ar?
