You have to separate the male quick. Once she wants to give birth soon, she will busy herself with trying to find the best spot to birth and nest. Remove the male so no deaths or complications. Syrians actually cannot live in pairs.... must be single.

Pregnancy, when you hold the scruff of the neck and hold her up, if her body is pear shape and got a bulge on the tummy, then that is a sign of pregnancy.

Foo is right, the gestation period is about 16 days earliest.... some can hold up to 18, some 20 days....

how old is the bear ar, actually is not mine, is my sis fren one, he jus tumpang put me here as he busy with something.
then he said he notice that last week like that her tummy like become big. so though she pregnant lo.
then i nvr have female hams that pregnant so i dunno about it lo, but then if tummy suddenly big then might pregnant lo...
i use hun way to see it, i not sure whether i see correct or wrong la, but then is similar like wat u said lo...
i jus only separate both of them...
so wat to do if pregnant and give birth ar, duwan to kacau or touch her, jus give food then can already rite, wait until pups grow big then only can touch rite, if there got pups la...
coz i not sure as i not good in hamster compare to gerbils... hehe...

Corn cob quite easy to get in KL. Almost all major petshops have loh. Small small petshops rarely carry. I dunno about Malacca..... maybe harder to find.

Well, what you do is change the bedding now. And don't kacau the tank for 2 weeks. Just kacau for refilling food and water. I would say throw in some mealworms if she eats it lah. Also give some fresh foods like sawi, kangkung, carrots....

If she don't give birth in 2 weeks, then it may not be pregnant, just fat I guess hahahh...

bought Breeder Celect from jtl..but it is cat litter..not corn cob..
