my syrian dont smells too. eventhough after a week, they dont smells.
but i've cleaned my Montee cage last night.. better get a male than female but if you dont mind about the strong odour from the female during season,you can get a female.. either one dont have big different as a pet..

I don't care about the odour, coz my hay got apple smell. xD

hay or bedding?hay normally they wont put smell onto it..cause can be consume..

It's normal. JackJack used to do that when he first came or after gone around the house in his exercise ball. Now Fumoffu is doing the same thing.

yesterday went to wangsa maju carrefour.....saw a gold banded syrian..so,cute....rm18....i wanted to buy but its shame to carry it in that kind of place wheres its crowded of people,lol

MoFo was in trance last night, so funny! I read that it is normal for hamsters to do this... he was running on his wheel then suddenly he 'froze'. he stared at one place for a loooooooooong time like in deep trance. Hahahah... it was really funny to see him. Then as if like he is out of trance, he terkejut and run for his life before settling behind the wheel. Then he did the trance thing again but only for a short while... before finally settling near his hut to nap.

Any reason why he did that? If he did this in the wild sure kena makan predator already leh.

By the way, I managed to take a whole bunch of pic while he was in trance. Here are some. Geez... my boy so handsome horrrr...





Also mananged to take pic of Miki aka Mini. You can see his balls. I want to pick him and shot pics of his balls, but he wiggles too much. This is the best I can do!






PS: Yesterday went to The Curve, saw 2 VERY CUTE long hair syrians for sale. The same place where I bought my winter whites last time. I asked the guy he said they are 4 months old. I am very sure they are siblings and one pair living in one guppy fish tank. I know, very very small tank, I hope at the seller place they have bigger place for them. Their condition is actually very good, they don't look sick or mistreated. Not that I can see la. I NEARLLY bought them but my friends scolded me already their hair is really long wor... I likeeee. Both are golden banded, maybe golden umbros banded, me dunno know much about colors. Didn't ask the price... I didn't touch them also to see if they are biters or not... both are sleeping so I think if I kacau sure kena bite one, haha.

Sangels will scold me too if I wanted to get another Syrian. Like yesterday we saw white syrians in Ipoh. Wanted to get but kena scolded by sangels. Now saving for a duprasi (fat-tail gerbil).

All the hammies there is selling for RM6 each. Got cinnamon or golden cream, umbros and also the white ones.

Bought some hammy snacks which is imported from HK from that shop. My syrians loved it but not sure why cause it sells like cardboard box to me. LOL!

Ooh, where did you saw the white syrian and other colour ones in Ipoh?
Can let me know which shop ar? I want to go and pay a visit. Not thinking of getting another one but just curious.
Usually not much syrian in Ipoh and those are usually cinamon banded ones.

Can't remember whereabouts as sangels was driving. Maybe later she can tell you.

Heheh, actually it was a small jam container I got during my trip to holland. I am still to buy Miki his waterbottle. Last time I didnt because it was supposed to be temporary... now that he's staying with me, I need to get that soon. I'm also waiting for a friend of mine to drill a hole. But the water is changed daily anyway and it is very shallow... I dont worry about it too much...
