Hi guys,

can you test your bikes to see whether this phenomenon occurs.

This is not high speed wobble or tank slap.

It happens when the bike is decelerating @ low speed, like below 60kmh.

You have to take your hands off the handle bar to check, if you are holding it, you might not feel it.

It happens only at a certain speed range, sometimes very narrow range.

Ive tested the kapchai on flat smooth road.

It happens around +- 50kmh during decelaration.

Videos below are some examples

Kapchai..

happened to my old Z250. happens 80kmh and below

there could be many possible reasons.

cone bearing, wheel bearing, balancing, wheel bent, uneven tire wear etc. hell, could even be the tire itself isnt balanced well from factory.

in my case, i suspect its the tire. didnt have it with the previous tire. once i changed tire, i started having that issue after awhile. i even re-sent for balancing but it was perfect.

i even changed my cone bearing (which was worn anyway). and it still remained.

didt manage to try with new tire as i traded in the bike before i could do that.

Happened to my Ninja 250 too. It was the front tyre. Since mine happened just after I change the tyres, I brought back to the shop and ask to change the front tyre. And voila, fixed.

i read all those comment of those vids,

many possibilities just like you mentioned.

i believe many dont realize this 'issue' esp those that dont cruise at slow speeds, only when they let go of the bars...

I think it's just the dynamics is much like the death wobble. I mean it's bound to happen regardless everything else checked out. Add also the front fork, leaking or in need of service, road condition (1. the road is tilted to the left a bit so one side of the tire might have more stress than the other; for our road, the right side of the tire. 2. Uneven road surface or its condition causing the sudden grip and loss).
