For past few days, my 3 year old has been consistently waking up 4 hours after bedtime on the dot! He always goes to bed at 10 & waking up crying at 2 a.m! Me & my wife cant seem to figure out why..he will cry on & off until 6 a.m where he finally fell asleep again. This has been distrupting his school time (insufficient sleep and both me & my wife haven't got enough sleep ever since. Anyone encounter such problem before?

3yo already schooling? his tummy bloated? if yes, try rubbing yuyee oil. my son does this too when he's around 2-3yo.. its because of his habit drinking his milk when about to sleep, mouth not fully closed, sucked in air + milk.. solution is to make sure his mouth fully closed and rub some yuyee oil.

Yes. because he still can't talk & i want him to socialize more. Tummy not bloated, lately he didn't finish his milk..even if it was 2 ounces.

My daughter went through a stage where she will wake up after 4 or 5 hours and just cry when she was around 3 years old. She was not really awake but cry for no apparent reason for 1/2 hour. Asked doctor and the doctor say it could be night terror and we should just let her cry. After a while she will fall back to sleep. According to the doctor it is the period when she is going into deep sleep. This went on for nearly 3 to 4 months and after that it is just stopped. Another way the doctor advise us was to try to wake her and bring her to go pipi when she has slept close to 4 hours. This way does not always work as she does not want to wake up but when she wake up and go pipi, she won't cry again.
