QUOTE(khool @ May 2 2019, 05:47 PM) Yes, your TSH results denote hyperthyroid condition. You definitely need to seek medical advice, and do NOT delay. Thanks for your advise. shall arrange and get consult from doctor sooner. Listen to what the endocrinologist says and the recommendation given. Usually, medication is advised, and is lifelong. In some extreme cases, surgery is the best way to go, but the long and the short is, you need to seek professional medical help. This condition is only life threatening if left untreated for too long. It does not impact too much on your quality of life once a remedy is prescribed and followed. By the way, is that mean i need start medicine once i get Thyroid? It won't be cure / reduce after some time having medication? |

QUOTE(lowlowc @ May 2 2019, 06:59 PM) Quickly consult a endocrinologist and you might be required to redo the blood test and have x-ray. How long you taken contraceptive pills? and how long you stopped that after that give a normal result? Did you have any new supplement, medicine or change of lifestyle? Last time I had high TSH reading too but after redoing the test at hospital, it was normal again. When I thought back, it was the time when I started on contraceptive pill issued by gynae. Nonetheless, don't postpone on seeking professional opinion. I think that i having detox product that will be affect our hormone but i did stop two months ago. |

QUOTE(khool @ May 3 2019, 11:29 AM) Most welcome, immediate medication depends on the doctor's medical prognosis. Really lifelong that you took 20 years medication due to this. i must care on this seriously. I'm quite scare of this actually. In most cases, the doctor should be able to provide a starter dose pack, after which you will be placed under observation for the next few weeks to months. Get ready for constant blood tests, every few weeks to months in order to monitor your T3, T4 and TSH levels. Most importantly as I said from the beginning, is to follow the doctor's advise closely. Do not worry, this is a treatable condition, I have been taking my medication for 20 plus years already. My condition is opposite of yours, hypothyroidism ... a completely dormant thyroid gland; so it is a lifelong thing for me. If you are fortunate enough, it may be temporary, but even if it is not, just stick to your recommended medication and dose, you will be fine. QUOTE(lowlowc @ May 3 2019, 12:48 PM) Very short time only, didn't even finish the whole packet. I think I stopped for one week before the second test. Yes, we dont know what inside detox product that i may cause of side effect like this. Be very careful with detox product. You won't know what they put inside. Appreciated & Thanks all for the information provided. |
