Hi guys

I am 28 years old and aside from pre employment health screening, haven't been to a proper full body medical checkup.

So I think it is about time to go for one but I am pretty noob at this obviously, so if you guys don't mind give me some tips on the following :

1. What packages should I go for?
2. How frequent should a middle aged person go for checkup in a year.
3. Where should I go to for the checkup? Clinic? Hospital? etc (I went to BP Healthcare for pre-employment screening btw)
4. How much should I expect to pay for a checkup? Or maybe you can guide me on the reasonableness of market prices

50-500 depend on the package, suggest go to any lab to understand what you really need

Should think about getting insurance first if you plan to before doing a check-up in case anything crops up.

But doesn't insurance requires you to do it anyways before the agent can take you up as a client?

Depends on what you declare.

Generally, if there's nothing suspicious, they won't ask for further checks.

Are they obliged to report any negative findings? Where's patient confidentiality? That being said, anyplace for anonymous full checkup?

They are not obligated, but if you get a negative result, you're obligated to declare upfront. Otherwise, there's always a chance they'll find out later and deny your claims. That would be worse after having paid lots of premiums. I'd prefer to declare everything up front.

Can the consumer claim back all the amounts that he/she paid to insurance because insurance refuse to cover?

Prefer to go hospital to do a very detail body check up.

if you look like in good health and not look overweight and declare no illness, should be ok, no need to to take medical checkup.

Last time (8 years ago) my insurance agent required me to go for a body checkup for one of their investment plan. IIRC it was sponsored by the agency itself, so I just went for the checkup.

But mentioned by a user above, best to be honest and upfront about your health status to avoid any complications when claiming insurance.

I'm not an agent, but no. Simply because you did not disclose all the information they requested. In essence, you were trying to cheat them. If you had disclosed full information, they might have added loading, exceptions, or even rejected you outright.

Maybe someone else who has experience can let you know.

I can also say i dunno what they requested. Means insurance not checking properly, and only check properly when customer want to claims. Isn't it that by right Insurance company have the obligation to check first before approve the insurance policy.

Of course you know! You signed the declaration forms when you bought the insurance.

Yeah, some agents are unscrupulous. They just put fake info to sell you the policy and disappear when you need to make claims and get rejected.

Normally hosp will do a general screening. They eill do further investigation if there is abnormality or if you have any abnormal sign and symptom for them to do the specific checkup

For me the package is enough until chest x-ray and below.

I dont think u need that unless you have some sign and symptoms but hey its your money and your health
