Has anyone tried printing tried metal photo printing?

I have been searching for a local place to do it, but so far only found Photobook malaysia that does metal prints. Anyone tried photobook malaysia for their metal prints? or has anyone tried any other service out there? Metal prints aren't cheap, so am worried that after spending all that money, the image comes out like crap.

So if anyone knows where else to do these type of printing, can be online or physical store, but either as long as someone can vouch that the quality is good, please do let me know.

Im looking at metal photo prints, im not sure whether its the same process as UV printing, but essentially, its like canvas printing, but on metal. A place that specialises on printing photos would be ideal.

Yeah, i think its printing on an aluminium slate if im not mistaken. Seems to make the colours pop and it lasts longer (as in doesnt fade as fast as normal digital prints)

Yup, You are right, the colour is very vivid. If I recall, he use about 2mm thick aluminium.

The photo on the left is the photo i sent for metal printing with Photobook. The one on the right is a normal print i did at some shop about 5-6 years back, it has faded quite a bit since then.

The quality of the product really depends on the quality of your photo. If your photo is low quality (low in KB and resolution) of course you can't expect it to be good.

How big of a print you want it to be on the metal plate?

Well, yeah, I agree they have higher price range. I see a lot of discounts and promos from them too, but it is rare that the metal prints are included. Maybe try to always be updated on their latest promos and you might get lucky!
