I am using the default Maxis router. I need to extend my Wifi signal but I don't want to use the traditional repeater and hence I am thinking of Mesh. Do I need to replace the original maxis tp link router to get mesh system?

Or I can buy Mesh Router and use it to extend to my maxis router without complex configuration?

You can do both.

For Maxis, it's best that you just add a mesh WiFi system to the existing router especially if you need VOIP function.

Thanks for the reply. Yes i want my Maxis VOIP. If i buy TP-Link E4, based on my limited knowledge, it has a primary deco which is served as a primary router while the other 1/2 Deco is act as the mesh repeater. In this case, if i were to use maxis default router, which E4 deco should i use to extend my wifi? Do we have such a guide in lowyat forum or anywhere? I would love to see it for myself.
