Hi sifus, am looking for some recommendation, key task would be running statistical software, run large dataset on excel and handling big illustrator files (no drawing, but handling files from designer and run scripts on it), no gaming. Display size: 13-14 (because light weight is more important, looking for <1.5kg) Ram: 16GB HDD: 512 SSD
Ok to pay premium for good build, thermal control and warranty, budget around 6k Prefer to have minimal wait time, ideally can get within 1-2weeks.
Thanks!

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ Apr 16 2021, 02:53 PM) can consider this: https://shopee.com.my/Lenovo-13.3-Laptop-Th...8920.6479529998or u looking for more performance+better thermals? A typical day for the laptop would something like: >Daytime will need to carry the laptop around hence light weight is preferred, but won’t be doing much heavy duty task. >Then second half of the day will mostly keep the laptop plugged in and run for long hours, so yea performance and thermals would help.

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ Apr 16 2021, 03:15 PM) you have to find a balance between portability and perf, since more perf usually means heavier weight Was thinking maybe trading off the screen size and higher budget would help, but seems like the more high performance laptop can't help to be bigger and hence more bulky. Thanks for your suggestion still!
