Hi sifus, am looking for some recommendation, key task would be running statistical software, run large dataset on excel and handling big illustrator files (no drawing, but handling files from designer and run scripts on it), no gaming.
Display size: 13-14 (because light weight is more important, looking for <1.5kg)
Ram: 16GB
HDD: 512 SSD

Ok to pay premium for good build, thermal control and warranty, budget around 6k
Prefer to have minimal wait time, ideally can get within 1-2weeks.

Thanks!

A typical day for the laptop would something like:
>Daytime will need to carry the laptop around hence light weight is preferred, but won’t be doing much heavy duty task.
>Then second half of the day will mostly keep the laptop plugged in and run for long hours, so yea performance and thermals would help.

you have to find a balance between portability and perf, since more perf usually means heavier weight

Was thinking maybe trading off the screen size and higher budget would help, but seems like the more high performance laptop can't help to be bigger and hence more bulky. Thanks for your suggestion still!

Can consider Yoga Slim series/Pro, those with large battery and still lightweight enough to carry around.

Which is more value for money, compare to

HP Envy X360 R5-4500U or Lenovo Yoga 9i I7-1185G7

Being confused on the processor cores and so on.

Hope a lappy which can be multitasking and last me for 5 years .

RM 6.5k, max.

Excel, streaming, browsing, little video editing (drone hobby), and playable with Dota 2 for sometimes will be added bonus.

16gb RAM is a must for me, I think. And hope It is below 1.5kg, will need to carry around, sometimes.

- 14inch screen
- min 4GB Ram, preferred 8GB
- uses for Autocad 2d drawing (preferred dedicated GPU graphic card, if possible), MS Office, Internet surfing
- Need x3 to x4 USB Port (printer, USB memory stick, wireless mouse)
- Waiting time: end of year 2021 or beginning next year 2022
- Brand : any (preferred durable, as i use laptop until it spoilt)

Now using Asus A456U, still working except battery, speaker, keyboard and one USB port not working.
