Hi ZM Fong

Since you've already shortlisted some laptops with high sRGB I wanted to ask have you encounter any Windows laptops with equivalent or higher AdobeRGB gamut (not sRGB) than Macbook Pros??

This is quite hard to find - not many panel has near 100%ARGB, even 4k/UHD ones.

if you're fine with gaming laptop, 7i has near 100%ARGB 144Hz 500nits panel. Or laptops with the 4K Samsung OLED panel

Hi,

Is Huawei Mate 15D R7 512GB 8GB good enough for Microsoft office and AutoCAD work?

Is the price RM2899 worth it?

Again, last gen (3rd) processor.

AMD had strike the lottery with their 4th gen Ryzen mobile. It's performance and efficiency gain is so much so that it obsolete all the last gen's offering (and of course Intel too). More efficiency node size (7nm vs 12nm), more powerful CPU single thread performance (on par with Intel) & GPU (the Ryzen 4000 Vega 8 is even better than the old Vega10 found on Ryzen 3700u). Also, the system and VRAM speed had a huge leap from last year's 2400mHz.

For example, 3500u is worse than the newer 4300u. 3700u is worse than 4500u etc.

There's simply no reason to look at these 3rd gen Ryzen, unless they're dirt cheap and go below RM2k.

In china, huawei just released a new configuration with the latest Ryzen 5 and 7 (4000series) for its Matebook 13 and 14. Any idea when will it be available in Malaysia?

Actually the XPS range already has that icon_idea.gif

Even the 17.3 4K UHD panel (the AUO B173ZAN) already has a ~90% aRGB coverage icon_idea.gif

There's even a TN panel that does ~80% aRGB as well:

Hi, I just got to know commandos Helium 4R through ZM Fong's recommendation. Never heard about this brand, though I've seen the snake like logo somewhere b4.

Does anyone have any comments on this brand ? Wondering if it's safe to buy this brand... wacko.gif wacko.gif sorry, i'm kinda clueless.

Thanks so much in advance. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

I'm trying to decide - swift 3 , ideapad 515 and this. My friend asked me to consider huawei d15. Kinda hesitating cos huawei doesn't specifically produce notebooks, so ...i'm not too sure if I should get a huawei.

Illegear ionic is a tad too expensive, after adding on windows.

Any thoughts ?

If you can increase budget slightly: Thinkpad X13 or T14 AMD

If not, I would lean more towards to Thinkpad L14 / L15 AMD
