Need recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Laptop for work.
Use: Opening lots of PDF, Word and Excel file.
14 inch or less for everyday carry.
Processor I7 or ryzen-7
Doesn’t matter if it’s non upgradable Ram with minimum ram 16GB.
Weight less than 2kg.
Budget under 5K.

Currently under my consideration is Thinkpad X395(build quality), commandos helium 4(can upgrade to 32gb ram) and hp envy x360(hoping newer 4000 series will come to malaysia soon).
I dont know which one to choose. Maybe there is something else better in this price range at this moment.

Thank u

I don't know. Someone in the IT department made that minimum spec. I'm trying to figure out whats the actual minimum price for laptops on the market that fulfills those conditions. Its like they expect us to buy RM 3,500++ laptop and only reimburse RM 2,500. The good news is that I get to keep it after 12 months.

There's not even option for Intel CPUs, when it's knows software like Matlab 'screws' or 'gimps' AMD CPUs.

P14s is fine, TBH if you want something powerful enough, any 4c8t ULV is 'enough', it just that the CPU performance will be different in every model due to differences in cooling and BIOS/firmware

Able to wait further? If can't, consider business laptops like Thinkpad T/X series, Latitude 5000/7000 series
