Actually no, watermelon juice might taste sweet but the amount of sugar in it is very small.

Some people spend on bubble tea and are regarded as stupid

Some people spend on headphones, handphone, PC games, and other electronic gadgets, and are regarded as stupid

Who's to say who is stupider?

At least bubble tea only costs Rm15 compared to multi hundred dollar high tech gadgets

first, SS15 ain't cheap area

second, u need significant investment before u start reaping profits

third, this kind of wave riding has killed alot of business in less dense / less rich areas, always see the same shoplot changing tenants in 2 years time, or same business changing owners

you are right in a way, the rich one, open 10 shops, 2 shops lingkup nevermind, while the not so lucky one, spent life savings just to open one, after lingkup, 14th floor is the way
*
Even SS15, many places died edi. Very few shops now are around 5 years ago, let alone 10 years.

I managed to witness the Chatime wave, SS15 got quite a few boba places. Nearlee all closed down except Gong Cha, very impressed this place can survive. Even Chatime closed before, used to be above where now got a mamak, then it returned as tealive about late last year.

Wait je la, I give 1 year, see how many can survive. Where The Alley now used to be a boba place during the first Chatime wave, but this time around, maybe The Alley can survive the onslaught. Maybe la.

What you didn't t consider is the Glycemic Load of watermelon.
The Glycemic load of a food denotes how likely it is to raise blood sugar.
GL above 20 is high whereas GL below 10 is low obviously.
Watermelon scores a GL of 5.
Not to mention the vitamins, minerals, fibre and other phytochemicals contained in watermelon juice.

How much sugar syrup and total amount of carbs is in one of those of bubble tea drinks? .

Stupid TS. U think drink bubble tea will get diabetes? U drink those teh tarik at mamak will have a higher chance to get diabetes dipshit.

Besides owner of bubble tea shop profit , u jelly?

Instead of opening stupid threads, y dont u go open a bubble tea shop?
*
Teh tarik uses condence milk, 1 cup of teh tarik (average cup size) is only 19g of sugar.

1 cup of brown sugar bubble tea (average cup size... not the bubble tea cup size) consist of 92.5g of sugar. Some has higher sugar content (those where you see already brown as shit before shaking one).

So how do you say it is the same as teh tarik? Unless you drink 4 cups to every 1 cup of bubble tea. Again, bear in mind it is 1 average cup of bubble tea, not the same size as the one you bought straight from the shop.

For those who compare this to teh tarik must be really stupid...

The average brown sugar bubble tea 4x more sugar than your average teh tarik.

I heard the Tiger and the SS15 long queue one even sweeter than that so go figure..

For those who say :

They are young = Got health .... Diabetes don't happen overnight ok? It starts from young drinking too many of these shit.

FAMA sponsor = Got money .... FAMA must be dissapointed in you that you are spending RM13.50 of their hard earn money to get diabetes... Also, if you are a frequent buyer... don't you feel stupid that in just 10 days... you've wasted RM135 and could have spent it on something better than just a cup of drink?

Young = Got time..... more like lifeless... if you can spend 3 hours of your time for a stupid overpriced diabetes drink.... it pretty much means during your younger days... you have no friends or better things to do hence you waste it on a drink
