anyone installed android oreo on HTC One M8?

when i had my HTC One E8, i installed a barebones version of android oreo.

im not sure if i installed it incorrectly (most plausible), but certain features ended up not functioning properly and the new camera app was taking lower quality photos.

didn't really see or notice any performance increases, but my overall experience was not pleasant.

i try to stay away from HTC phones in general because the android skin on top isn't very appealing.
