Hi incubus_skj, the previous estimation for our order processing is indeed between 7-14 working days but further setback might have incurred onto your order due to the influx of orders being processed on our end. Is it possible for you to PM me your order number for us to verify the status?
*
well if you currently have 450 pending orders as per what one of your staff told me yesterday, then this isn't a sudden setback or sudden influx of orders one, right?
then isn't it kinda unethical when you have people expect it to ship in 7-14 days then you just wash hand say "oh sorry we have 450 pending orders so your order gonna be late a bit"
and it's just salesman talk when you add "oh nvm i'll TRY TO expedite your order for you"

sigh i'll PM you my order number anyways

well, if a company have huge influx of order, i think itโ€™s better to make an official announcement about the delay. even apple make announcement if got delayed production.
*
That's what I've been telling them. It's totally unethical to be putting a 7-14 working days waiting time when they well know they can't deliver on time. Then I get the "we'll feedback to management" SOP reply

Heck because of the order rush they've already made a mistake on mine. Didn't upgrade my WiFi card as ordered and didn't inform me until I found out myself. Then now tell me no stock.

i get you. personally i feel after Azim left the support team, its been a bit colder than usual.

but... bang for buck the product. and support is still miles above any other brand.
*
Wait Azim already resigned? He was still replying to my messages last week wo

Bang for the buck is one thing. I have used their S7 for 5 years and it was better than my previous MSi or Asus laptops. But their team is just as bad 5 years ago as it is now. Last time also tell me same thing, "rush order, human makes mistake" excuse also come out. I am regretting giving them another chance already.

Hi incubus_ski,

Sorry for the delay in delivering your order. The team has been trying our very best to deliver your order in the promised period. We do admit the current assembly team is not able to cope with the increasing volume but we are actively looking for experienced assembly technician to join our growing team, the understaffed situation will eventually be resolved.

Thank you for giving us another purchase and as a token of apology, we would like to offer you with a 3-month warranty extension for the extended waiting time.

In regards to your order, our sales supervisor Adrian personally dropped by GDEX yesterday evening to hand over your parcel for shipping because the order was completed after the GDEX pickup time. I believe you also have received a whatsapp message about your tracking number yesterday.

My thanks to Adrian for expediting the order for me. But I didn't receive a WhatsApp / email on the tracking number though. But it's OK for now since I'd only be back in office tomorrow. Would also like an update on the timeline for my RM59 AX200 refund

Thanks again

[edit] got the laptop at my office this morning. GDEX really fast

QUOTE(MorningBoyz @ Jul 23 2020, 08:35 PM)
Earlier July asked stock confirmation for Onyx V Ryzen has it arrived or not, then was told stock has arrived. So placed order and asked to confirm when can collect but then was notified otherwise that stock has not arrived only can get it by mid to end of July( shocking.gif  that is a surprise, thought stock has arrived?). Was disappointed the stock confirmation is not correct and even deducted 2 months installment payment from my card on same month.

So had double confirmed again on how long waiting period, was given 14 days. Been asking nicely when can get it because was urgently needed a laptop for work as my laptop just died. Should have known the stock confirmation was not correct then wont placed order (somewhat got cheated into placing order!).

Waited 2 weeks still haven't get stock so then request to cancel order because got a desktop to use. Upon request to cancel order the response was so quick said it is pending for stress test and approval from finance and management?? So I had asked nicely for them to on hold and stop the approval then proceed to cancel order. Then out of sudden on same day when requested to cancel order(less than 6 hours)dry.gif  it was so quickly responded than usual that everything was done, ignoring my earlier request to on hold and cancel order then said it is ready to collect.

Now stuck with 2 computer bangwall.gif ? Insisting on cancelling my order then no reply or answer for whole day? Thought the response should be very quick in less than 6 hours. Kindly assist cancel my order.  sad.gif

Btw, I wonder what is being done during stress test?

I am thinking that it's just loading some programs overnight to check the performance. Hence, stress test for multiple laptops should be able to complete at the same time.

I just got an update say my order pending for stress test. Hope it can be delivered soon.
*
Hahahaha stress test excuse I also kena before liao. In the end just gasak one laptop from the store and send over to you after you complain banyak2

user posted image

Why I say laptop from store? Because they don't even inform you that they don't have your upgrade. So basically I waited nearly a month for a stock laptop to be delivered to me.

I already received mine lah, total waiting period for my unit was 24 days, my upgrade was never installed, and I never knew about it until I asked about it myself. Fortunately the refund process for that upgrade was a piece of cake.

Just putting it out there again that you guys should just revise the waiting time to 14-21 working days so you can manage everyone's expectations

Hi incubus, may I have your order number to check your total waiting time? If there is any delay on your order we can compensate you with a 3-month warranty extension.

As for the killer, we indeed had zero stock during MCO a few months back and the staff indeed forgot to inform a some customers about the back ordering. Sorry about that and I know they did try their best to inform as many customers as possible on that period.
*
yep you gave me the warranty extension already icon_rolleyes.gif

I think we might have different configuration. Better u wait for another 1-2 weeks and ask for extended warranty.

Anyway, there are not many option available in the Malaysia market.

It's either asus or lenovo. With the same configuration it might cost rm 1000 more for asus, and as for lenovo the delivery time I heard can be more than 8 weeks.

Unless u plan to go for desktop then different story.

actually got. Level51. price and specs were more or less similar at that time. Never seen any delay complaints on their thread also. But in the end chose Illegear because my 5yo S7 can tahan lama.

but then. yalah. regret also no use already. if you can prepare to wait for 1-2 months then ok lor.

QUOTE(Timber @ Aug 6 2020, 02:59 AM)
I wanna tell two stories

Story 1

The other day at lunch I went to a hawker stall famous for their fried rice. I went and placed my order. Looking at the crowd, I enquired how long do I need to wait for my order to arrive. The uncle said about 15mins only.

15mins is not that long - so I sat down and waited. 15mins passed and my order is not here. I went and ask the Uncle if he remembered my order. The uncle said yes he remember and my order will be next in queue. So I went back and waited some more.

25mins passed, and I went and ask the Uncle is my order ready. If it is not ready- then it's ok. I wanna cancel my order and just order any food from the other nearby stall and be done with it. Uncle said my order is already in process, the rice is on the wok but he ran out of soy sauce due to MCO, he is waiting for his son to come back to replenish his soy sauce stock.

I wanted to empathise and chillax about the situation until the next customer came and ask how long will he need to wait and the uncle gave his standard of the mill answer "15mins!"

Well, in the end, after 45mins my fried rice did came. I ate, I paid, but I can't help not feeling pissed at the whole ordeal.
Story 2

Another day, so I went to another place to have dinner. This time is a famous established restaurant. The place is crowded, and the waiter sweetly informed that I might have to wait up to 45mins for my order to be served.

I figured 45mins is a long time, but in the meantime I can do a quick shopping nearby while my food is being cooked. So I ordered with the waiter, went to do my grocery shopping, came back after 40mins, found my seat and waited. The food came after 10 more mins of waiting. It exceeded by 5 mins of the 45mins estimation, but it was fine as I was productive and well informed ahead that I will need to wait. I ate, I paid, and I am happy.
So now, what's the moral of both the stories? Managing customer's expectations. Each customer has different expectations, but who set's the baseline threshold of expectation in the first place? The seller of course. It's the same shitstorm AirAsia is in right now when they say the flight tickets can be refunded but eventually it's actually not.

This is honestly something Illegear gotta look at man.

Before I placed my order, I did my due diligence. The reviews were good, so I kinda went with it. I also recommended Illegear to some of my friends and they are all waiting to see that new laptop that suppose to arrive...in July. Now I kinda have my foot in my mouth situation about recommending Illegear to them..
*
i've already did that several times back in Feb, and everytime it's just the "we'll feedback to management" SOP reply. then tell you already doubled the workforce liao. idk la if orders increased 4x then you double your workforce still won't make it in time one right? what's so hard in changing the 7-14 days to 14-21 days? scared orders go to competitors? when you can't even fulfill your own?

Intel ONYX V lead time is about 10 working days. Can I have your order number?

*
Can't imagine I have to come here again on behalf of my friend who doesn't have a LYN ID and ordered your Onyx V knowing about your customer stress test issues.

#197073

He knew that your processor was going to be late when he ordered as it was stated in the order page. But what he cannot accept is your sudden screen shortage pula when your promise to send out in mid-november is delayed again.

Could you please be more transparent and inform your customers what else you are in shortage before doing another stress test on your customers? What else are in shortage now? Screws got enough or not?

QUOTE(Faichaimond @ Nov 16 2020, 10:05 AM)
Pre-ordered mine early August. Original ETA was end of September.

End of September arrived. Nothing. Emailed them and got the following response "Stock is arriving Malaysia tentatively by end of October due to a transit setback from the manufacturer".

Early October, emailed them for updates. Response: "Please be advised that we estimate that it would be arrived by end of this month."

End of October arrived. Nothing. Did a quick Google search and led me to the forums here. More delays apparently.

Last week, first stock has apparently arrived (I say apparently because I've got no proof of it actually happening). Got the following response:

"For Onyx V Ryzen 144Hz, the latest ETA given by the manufacturer for the next batch of stock to arrive Port Klang, Malaysia is by later second half of this month. ๐Ÿ™ In regards to the completion, we estimate that it would be done shortly after the arrival of stock as we shall process all the pending pre-orders, yours included into the first batch to cut down further waiting time."

5 days ago emailed them regarding whether it's fine to assume I'll be getting the product in December or later, got this response: "No worries, we will do some arrangements on our end to ensure that the order shall be released by later this month, hope this clarifies & will update you again once it is finally ready to be released."

Honestly, if it's a rushed product then don't bother. Might as well send to me during Chinese New Year since I'm mentally prepared for a full 6-month wait by now.

For the record I've received a total of zero (0) active communications from them, as in, all their communications were just replies to my inquiries, none of them were proactively sent to me as updates.
*
yeah it's quite telling from this thread that those who complain would get serviced first. then those who diam2 wait will get kicked to the back

already highlighted to them several times to change their lead time if they can't fulfil their "4-14 working days" term, at least now they put "10-20 working days" liao.
but lol still no transparency about their shortages so they hit you with "oops your wifi chip no stock / your screen not here yet" surprises from out of nowhere instead

hi, would like to check again whether this week your 144Hz panels already arrived? allocated for this order? can send out by this week?

if still cannot then can you just refund rather than pushing the defective 120hz screen?
