Kindly note that the GPU will not be operating at full performance on battery and since the laptop's processor is very energy efficient, it will take a toll on the GPU performance in order to conserve battery life.

Hence, I would recommend for you to remain plugged in during gaming to sustain the maximum performance for the system.

QUOTE(puremoe @ Oct 7 2019, 09:58 PM)
Hi Illegear team,

Last month I purchased a laptop by 12 months installment (RM 5,000), however when my monthly card statement came this month, there's an extra RM 7 charged to me. Supposed to pay RM 417 per month, but its showing RM 424.

Can I please get some help and clarification? I already paid the deposit so why is there extra charges?
Thanks.
*
Hi puremoe, I believe the first monthly payment would be higher compared to the remaining of the instalment charges (depending on the bank of card) but should you wish to verify with our Finance Team, you may drop us an email at billing@illegear.com smile.gif Will verify accordingly.

Hm, got this doubt as the spec listed as 7mm height while most of the upgrade option provided in the Laguna SE page is also 7mm height.

When i check the spec of the 2TB Firecuda (7mm) & 1TB Barracuda Pro (7mm) while the 2TB Barracuda (7.2mm), so I thought that it's the 0.2mm difference which hinder the laptop from this upgrade.

So hope Illegear or other users who has undergo this upgrade can clear my doubt on this...  rclxub.gif

Hi xyz_cityhunter, kindly note that the LAGUNA SE officially supports 2.5" storage drives with maximum thickness of 7mm. We have yet to try the Seagate Barracuda 2TB drive (7.2mm) with the laptop but we shall update this thread if the drive is tested to be compatible with the model.

I have come to the conclusion that my Raven does not switch it's display off and does not switch the keyboard illumination off when the lid is close.

Not sure if this is intended behaviour or not.

Any comment on this?
*
Hi dylan_chng, I believe that a modification can be done on the Power Management to rectify the behaviour but in regards to this matter, I would recommend for you to consult with our Support Line directly for easier communication by using the WhatsApp number below:

My Raven has locked up 4 times already in the last 24 hours as I'm working on a relative demanding project.

DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE is what the blue screen of death reports.
*
Hi dylan_chng, sorry to learn about this! I could not confirm for certain via a remote diagnosis but this might be due to a driver conflict on your current Windows OS. No worries, our Support Line shall assist you accordingly.

Hi HoNeYdEwBoY, sorry to learn about this! I could not confirm for certain via a remote diagnosis but it may be caused by a registry bug and a re-configuration/battery re-calibration might help to resolve the issue.

Whats the main difference between raven, raven se and raven se-r?
*
For these two models, we would recommend the Raven SE for a laptop with a thinner/slimmer build and a smaller footprint because of the bezelless design. The RAVEN SE-R offers RTX 2060 GPU with identical build but we have equipped an extra heatpipe to accomodate the more powerful GPU.

However for gaming, the normal Raven is recommended instead due to the mechanical keyboard availability as well as the more sturdy build 😊

Hi,

Does anyone know how long does Laguna/ONYX or Raven SE-R on Stock battery last when only doing light web surfing & documents ?

planning to get 1 but curious on the battery life when unplug

Thanks
*
For the standard battery (47Wh), the battery life lasts around 2 to 4 hours of normal web browsing usage. However, do note that battery life usage may vary because it depends on screen brightness, ongoing usage, background usage, network connectivity and as well as specific usage of different users, hope this clarifies.

QUOTE(bul3m @ Nov 15 2019, 08:27 PM)

Btw guys, is it normal for the CPU to reach 71 degree celcius in idle mode?

*
Hi bul3m, glad to know that the laptop has been successfully received! As for the temperature, the 71°C is quite high during idle but it might be due to an intensive application that is running in the background. Should you wish to self-diagnose, it is possible for you to monitor the background applications to see which program/application that is harnessing the background resources - here's a handy guide: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-wind...tem-performance

Should you wish to liaise with our team for support/assistance, you may reach us at 018-261 8599 (WhatsApp)

Laguna i7
*
Hi zoixc, may I know if your power option is set to 'Balanced'? We would usually recommend to set the power plan to 'Balanced' regardless if the laptop is powered by charger/battery: https://www.howtogeek.com/240840/should-you...lan-on-windows/

This is because the High Performance mode will activate the TurboBoost at all times and this could be causing the uneven core temp observed.

Wanna confirm, for Black Friday sale "Rush Order" option not available? I put in order for Raven SE this morning and didn't see the option when spec-ing out the laptop

Hi Failed JJ, yes the rush order option has been temporarily removed from the website due to the influx of incoming orders but no worries, the stocks for RAVEN SE has been replenished and we shall process your order accordingly once placed.

The Raven SE is priced at RM3040 based on the suggested specs but you can also customize the configuration further according to your requirements by using the link here http://store.illegear.com/game-ready-perfo...r-raven-se.html
