Anyone got a proper and tested solution for this? (Besides replacing the router sweat.gif )

The AP Isolation is unstable as it only can connect some devices at times and sometimes can't connect?

Be great if the gurus here can share their solution here smile.gif

Many thanks in advance

PS : Check the form topic on the maxis home fibre but there the answers is scattered and not sure which works.

Been a while and no one has a solution? I've setup my Archer c5 wifi 2.4 and wifi 5 both bands unticked for "isolation" but results were same. Sometimes devices connected on 2.4 would see the Chromecast and sometimes not. The reverse occurs too.

Finally I gave up on dual band totally and only activated one band and suddenly all Chromecast problems went away! You may want to give my solution a try ... biggrin.gif

Well, I'm not sure how AP isolation affected your Chromecast. In my case, my devices (iPhones and Windows devices) werent able to detect Chromecast on the same Wifi.

I had to disable the firewall in the router which you can try to attempt as well.

Avoid APs with non-Broadcomm chipsets.
