i am aan apple users, when i get my new iphone, i just transfer the whole old phones stuffs into the new, and used it like my old phone.

can xiaomi do the same? my dad is using redmi3 and i got another mi8 but when i transfer, seems the whatapps not transder and etc.

First, sync everything to your Google account.

Google Account is all you need.

android to android is easy

android to ios or vice versa, difficult

whatapp no need to transfer loo.. it will install with data backup

means, i have backup all data in whatsapps?

backup data to the cloud/your gmail account in whatsapp
switch your phone/data off to prevent new messages from coming in
cucuk simkad to new phone
install whatsapp and it will find your backup automatically before letting you start using

oh and xiaomi to xiaomi also got app, it's called Mi Mover or something. use that if you have xiaomi account. if not, just use google's built in app.

or the other way around

yes... backup first , then install in new phone then backup will download to ur new phone , so far i have done nothing left . if not sure backup to pc then
