This one just drop on Prime. It's a shame didn't get to watch this on big screen. Not surprise if this nabbed Oscar for best sound design. Again lower your expectations as you are not watching glorified version of Hollywood war movie. No swelling score and super expensive slo-mo cgi battle scenes.

It's all hyper realistic and PTSD inducing moments. This movie literally show you the intense brutality and nobody wins messaging. When the shit hits the fan, clever use of sound design and the constant screaming of downed soldiers really pushing you over the edge. Then you have the let's fuck shit up finale to drive home the absurdity. It's the most effective anti-war movie in recent years.

MI8 for me is just okay ... abit too draggy in certain parts

Ballerina - Pretty jolly time to be had with Ana De Armas as the baby baba yaga. Storyline and set-up pretty much non-existent...then action set piece is a blast. So many creative kills and for me the most memorable one is the grenade segment. Let's not kid ourselves, the main reason for us batang to watch is solely to cuci mata with Ana's beauty. She looks fabulous and not forgetting the kickass stunt works.

This is a continuation of the well received Predator Prey. Here you have three warriors of three different timeline taking down three different Predator in a rather satisfying as action sequence concerned. So what if they group together in Predator home world? And of course Amber Midthunder!!!

Marvel has been very lazy - same goes for this entry. You cannot la promote whole cast macam groupie, then awal2 sudah unalive watak2 - wtf 
serious la, all the promo materials/posters of the title has THAT character(s), Marvel ni bodoh ke apa - how can ppl buy your vibe sia 
While I do give points on their efforts to address a certain mental disorder - yes, we all have our bad days - but it is an action film after all, so yeah - not as deep as it could have been.
Quite gutted that the father-daughter dynamics just did not cut it - at all, also the team bonding, just utter nonsense  How Sebastian Stan is even still around is just bonkers (its probably the nice paycheck), it's like he's just being thrown in and out all over the marvel universe to help hold the plot or something
And lastly, there can only be one BOB!

Certainly another one and done(er) marvel film, not something i'd rewatch on purpose

Watched this whilst lepak at airbnb la kan..
forgot if they had english dub, but layan in German with English subs je la

Previously already seen this fella, the blond geeky fellow in Army of Thieves / Army of the Dead, ingatkan dah lama acting tu takde kayu/generic sangat, but same ol' Matthias Schweighöfer - macam the Rock la - asyik template yg sama je    BUT unlike the Rock, this fella doesn't have the swagger to be the lead, just like Army of Thieves - he cast as lead but rasa lain macam ah  ok, done kecam the poor guy

The plot initially quite intriguing la, siap ada wee bit of 10Cloverfield Lane punya vibe (sikit je la), but alas when it progresses - it starts falling into a typical movie narrative/trope - you dah tau sape akan buat apo etc - ending was a little better cause throughout the show it did leave you guessing what it is/happened - so this film boleh layan la if you want something to burn time, or learn German nothing hoo-ha but at least tak teruk sampai terberak bricks la 

Watched it yesterday. For fans of horror/thriller/suspense/mystery, this is highly recommended. Zach Cregger delivers yet another brilliant movie after Barbarian. I cannot wait to see his take on the Resident Evil reboot.

The cast is excellent, the acting strong and I loved how the characters’ stories are told from their own perspectives before converging toward the end. It kept me guessing the whole way through, and the trailer wisely gave very little away.



Definitely one of the strongest films I’ve seen this year.

I’d rate it a 9/10

P/S: Due to commitments I couldn’t catch it last week and by this week the number of showings had already dropped a lot (at least in my area). Catch it while you still can.

Nak kata seram tapi tak de la seram sgt pon, more towards thriller/suspense with some peekaboo element 
Also warning yg tak tahan gory2, if you tak leh tahan filem2 SAW - ada quite a few disturbing scenes that tak censor tau jgn kata tak payung eh 
Jarang you will appreciate or rather pay attention to the music/score dlm filem2 camni, but damn the drum beats are so f*kin on point - really brings out the energy
It's generally a great show, had more than a few good laughs throughout despite the premise 

Ok - last but not least - up to you if you nak kecam if the below is spoiler or not - but seriously, in todays society - better safe than sorry

I read in an interview, David Fincher had a hand in the editing stage and providing feedbacks on the script. Hence his name is in the thank you nod at the end credits crawl. Basically he godfather this movie.
Also Jordan Peele lost a bitter bidding war to produce this movie.

I returned to pyramid IMAX for f1. Yeah second time after originally went for standard version that Friday night it' opened late June

(originally wanted to go 1u then found out just too far for me still)

One thing is to kinda let me having refresher of how F1 can be endured much longer than I expected this year. I thought that's very good run for 2 months from late June till late August (just in time for me to catch IMAX demon slayer infinite castle in just reopened and upgraded laser projector)

Most of time, F1 having some thrill that's best served in big enough screen (I didn't go 4dx because hard to book and limited locations, so I can not say about it)
Especially during the racing scenes of grand prix race weekends (although the in between 3 weekends when Joshua forced to take break more like a filler for me, just underdog story progress)

Some things I have to say is fking LPF/WB censor a bit too much foul words just to make it clear 13 classification (along side with some scene about Joshua dissed sonny during first encounter, as well as censor middle finger b4 finale gp)

F1 should be rated 16 with such uncensored words. However I doubt that this will help in terms of box office because, another WB blockbuster 1BAA rated 16, didn't fare quite well ultimately

Other than that, the duration wise and post production cutting, need to be a bit more concise, some filler scenes could be cut a little bit shorter. This applies to both f1 and 1baa. Almost 3 hours duration is a big challenge for some men bladder (I almost can't hold the bladder and need to endure untill final scene will full bladder is not that optimal). Also this may pose challenge for some late night viewers which rely on public transport too
Okay enough say about bs. Partly because of LPF and WB, I give F1 7.5/10. And also 1baa too (although for 1baa wise not much is cut or censor. Just minor issues with duration, pacing and cutting)

Frankenstein (2025 @ Netflix)
Ayam not even seen a trailer for this - but story is pretty well known kan - GDT's take on this classic IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT STUFF!! 

An Oscar for Oscar(Isaac) if you will, you can hate his performance in the SW sagas - but he brought his A-Game for this freak show (much like he did for Moon Knight) - been seeing high praises for Elordi's performance but not as much for Isaac's - both played their roles really well to suit GDT's theme and storytelling  :thumbsup: Mia Goth's role might be a little underutilised but that might just be me - overall great work by the casts 

Music is hauntingly well played and timed, and my oh my, how they lean into the colors, mamamia *chefs kiss* - this is another gem from maestro del Toro  :thumbsup:

Doesn't matter if you've read the novels, watched previous adaptations - this is refreshing and beautifully portrayed in its own way - and definitely worth another viewing 

As always, fair warning - 1001% NOT for kids -

I wish to say this is that pretentious style over substance trainwreck. There's a lot to like but also some really terrible story structure.There are some okay action sequences but it's not even that integral to the bigger picture because how they present the supposed narrative hook. The art direction and cameos of forgotten stars is the attraction for me. It come across an incomplete experience.
