Hi guys, I'm looking to build maybe in a year or 2, a 4U rackmounted PC for me to use as a portable edit/stream PC. I'm mainly using Pro Tools 12, Premiere Pro, and OBS.
I've looked at Superlogics which makes a fantastic product, but their prices seems abit odd for me. I'm thinking to just build my own from the ground up with similar parts, but need some opinion on my selection of parts.
Superlogics Config USD$2904

This 4U PC will be placed inside a SKB StudioFlyer 4U

I will also have another 4U case for my external audio hardware which is an audio interface, and audio I/O. Which also means I won't have space for even getting a 1U monitor/keyboard/touchpad drawer. I can't go for a 3U PC because GPU height will become an issue, hence I think I'll be placing the monitor into the top section of the SKB StudioFlyer (provided I can find one that will fit and displays 1080p). As for peripherals like mouse and keyboard, I may just have to get an extra case which I really would like to avoid.
