Asked already but must register to postpaid with minimum package of RM98 a month which I think is expensive.

Yes, that is the requirement if you want to reactivated back the expired prepaid. You will need to use postpaid for a minimum of 6 months before you can converted back to prepaid. TQ

For a terminated number, how long will Maxis hold the number before releasing it for registration by new subscriber?

Hi, are you referring to prepaid number? We are unable to confirm any timeframe. Once the number is terminated, it will be immediately released into a number pool. TQ-Ika

They won't release out but force you to get postpaid because they know you need it and this is the time for time to cut your head.

At least we can always change it back to Prepaid later. Just need to ask how soon can the porting process start.
I guess it is still alright as long as we get the number back, aye?

You need to subscribe the. 98 package for 6 months before porting out or change to prepaid.

If you think 100"6= 600 is worth to gain back the number, go for it.

Cant blame them. Last time maxis keep reactivate for free. I reactivate once before maybe ppl keep abusing this method so maxis make it as a penalty since such account they are not really monthly paymaster rather than leacher

I don't mind to pay reactivation fee, say 100 but forcing people to subscribe the package of 98 and 6 months contract is big no.

I would just let it goes.

I am not sure whether the "subscribe post paid 6 months before convert back to prepaid" is not biased statement though claimed by the provider, afterall the statements here is not binding between you and the provider... But if you only want the number, perhaps you can try to MNP to other telco immediately after you subscribed to their postpaid plan to get back your number. If MNP is rejected, then only you surrender the number. No harm trying your luck.

I am sure they won't allow you to MNP and will reject it.

Earlier I have same thinking as you. But my case slightly different. Mine is supplementary change to main in order to MNP. The day after I got main line activated, I straight away MNP and it was successful. The RM98 was pro-rated. But if you already decided to let go the number, then just let go.

No harm trying if the number is important to you. You just lose time (speechless if you say time is money) in visiting maxshit centre. Good luck and have a nice day.
