Anyway my doubt is that the likes of HN, SenHeng, while they are authorised Sony resellers, but for this case, Im afraid that they aren't warranted stocks to deliver on launch date, but buyers who already POed with them are already stuck with them hoping to get their units. It's not that important to MUST get on launch day for me, but if it's delayed lets say to end of Dec then it defeated the whole purpose of POed early. For SenHeng/SenQ, in the iPhone 12 case, they cant get enough stock to deliver on launch date and tell those who POed with them to expect to get their units end of Nov. A lot of people who POed pissed off.

SenHeng/SenQ ones most likely wont get on launch date one, i hope im wrong though for the sake of those who POed with them. they have the tendency to collect orders from previous PO items then telling customers not enough stocks.

Hence why i said i hope im wrong on this one. They did this a few times in the past. They did it recently with the iPhone 12 PO. I wont get my iP12 on launch due to overestimate of the stock for POed customers by them. With this one, they even put 11 Dec onwards, maybe to avoid future backlashes from those who really expected to get on the 11th.

Like I said, historically they had done it. Collecting orders and over-promising to customers that they would get on launch day. For this PS5 I hope those who POed with them get it of coz.

At the store. Well maybe because Im outside KL so limited stocks were limited to those who stay in KL first. Not all of my POs with them were bad. For the recent iPhone 12 I guess due to pandemic hence why stocks are limited.

And btw I always buy my electrical appliances with them, including my past iPhones and Samsung due to their free extended warranty. Trust me it's good lol. FOC. Unlike the rest of the other stores.

Booked at the store on the eve of 1st PO day and later on got told that they couldn't get the stocks on this coming Friday due to a reason that well, I could accept. So maybe those outside KL are the unlucky ones this time around. But honestly I dont mind. No grudges hold against them.

Impulse hasn’t started anything yet so there’s hope to those who haven’t gotten.

Take orders first and give later la. If it came to a very-limited stock situation, those who POed from the listed ‘official’ participating stores sure will get first.

I have no info regarding that but it could be happening. Like you said suddenly all non-listed stores also did take POs, either they got info from Sony MY for confirmed allocated stocks or they simply pandai2 take PO (based on official news from Sony Malaysia) to make sales. Nowadays all retail businesses are literally having a slow death and PS5 showed up and they are one of Sony Authorized Resellers, meaning they can still legally take POs but guaranteed stocks on launch day might not be happening.

You can check out stock availability in other countries like the US. They don’t have enough as well. While it may not be accurate to compare it with this region, Singapore is also facing similar thing. I tried to secure my unit early by having my friend in SG to get one from me before and some stores said not guaranteed to get even in Dec.

Maybe due to this pandemic and most of us stay at home and this kind of thing sells.
