last month, my wife, in her infinite wisdom, manage to lost her car's gas cap. so i bought an 'oem' replacement gas cap from perodua sales part distributor somewhere at jalan segambut, since the original gas cap is ard rm150.



looks like this. i cant remember the exact price but i belip it was below rm 25. which is miles cheaper than the ori replacement

ever since then, shes been complaining about gas smell entering her car, more prominent when gas is low. turns out the valve inside the gas cap is not sealing properly, so it lets gas vapor to seeps out from the tank and into the cabin.




so i searched around for a better replacement. turns out gas cap is mostly universal, especially for japs car. so i bought this off lazada



just search for 'honda fuel tank cap' in lazada n ull see alot of result come up

theres other seller out there, i just bought the cheapest one available at that time.

the new gas cap fits perfectly, now no more gas smell. n i manage to attach the 'string?' of the gas cap to gas cap lid. now my wife has no excuse of losing it in the future.


tldr: if ur perodua lost its gas cap, just buy the honda one, fits better than the universal gas cap. n the universal gas cap sucks balls.
