hi, there should no problem to view chinese characters in Windows 10. You should ask your friend to zip/rar them all first because I doubt that this is the sending tool that you guys are using have the unicode decoder issue. If still can't, then I can prefer your friend to register a free account in https://mega.nz/ then upload all the files to there.
