both introduced the scene in the early 80s but non took it too far other than mayhem..their member/fan literally burned churches and arson the city..threw dead pigs and blood to the poser to shove them off at their concert..dead occasionally slit his wrist just to show that they mean business n wud to to such extend to photograph dead's exploded brain as album cover, took bit of his skull and make necklace out of it..
give it away to musicians he deemed worthy..

They don’t even sound like Mayhem.
And please, it was Varg of Burzum with extreme mindset & Dead was a depressive kid while Euronymous was just an a*hole who took advantage of Dead’s condition to make Mayhem looks extreme.

Kind of like when Alvin Tan doing his bak kut teh greeting during Ramadan. If he had posted that any other time of the year, no one would be triggered.

So an anti-christian band doing a concert during Easter weekend seems intentional and provocative.
