Lazada is terror. I have done my part to report them to MCMC. I will be closing my Lazada account after my refund transaction is complete.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to file a complaint towards Lazada Malaysia (http://www.lazada.com.my) regarding a suspicious activity involving my most recent transaction (Order number XXX). Below is the approximate timeline of what have happened:
September 1st – I placed an order to purchase an item worth RM228.00 + RM4.50 shipping with total amount of RM232.50.
September 6th – I checked with the seller regarding shipping status and was told item was stuck at Hong Kong due to the political situation.
September 11th – Seller (XX) attempted to cancel the order due to sourcing issue.
September 14th – Lazada rejected the request.
September 16th – System at Lazada shown the item was delivered. Recipient is Janice with an IC number next to her name. (September 16th is a public holiday and my office was closed. In addition, I do not know who any person who named Janice. I started to suspect I am a victim of a scam. If the seller did not ship the item, where did Lazada get a tracking number and shown a delivered status?)
September 16th – I contacted the seller to find out what happened. The seller confirmed that the item was not shipped and informed me that this is Lazada’s system errors showing the item was delivered.
September 17th – I contacted Lazada via the chat support system. I had to go through several chat occasions because the technician would respond slowly and allow the system to kick me out assuming that I was away, which I wasn’t. I have requested them to call me immediately but they refused. Finally, I was able to chat with a person named Shahirah Zainuddin. I explained to her that I did not receive the item even though the system indicated status of delivered and she instructed me to cancel the refund request I have initiated so that she could escalate the issue. She informed me she will investigate and give them 24 – 48 hours to respond.
September 18th – I received an email from Shahirah Zainuddin and the email stated “Based on our interaction previously, this order XXX has been delivered successfully on 16/09/2019. We hope your concern was addressed appropriately.” I was in total disbelief and have contacted Lazada via their chat system and informed them I am ready to file a police report but they could not be bothered. They continue to give me the same answer, “Let us investigate and give us 24 – 48 hours to respond”.
September 18th – Upon seeing the email from Shahirah Zainuddin, I immediately contacted the seller (XX) via Lazada’s chat system. I informed the seller I am ready to file a police report. The seller was cooperating with me and asked me re-initiate a return request and the seller complied and agreed with the return to proceed to next step.
The few questions that need answers are:
1. How is the tracking number generated (Pos Laju: XXXX) if the seller did not ship the item?
2. Who is Janice? Why is the item delivered to Johor Bharu while my delivery address is at Subang Jaya? How is this tracking number linked to my order?
3. Why is Lazada technical support acting like gangster and not willing to resolve the issue?
4. Why Shahirah Zainuddin requested me to cancel my initial return knowing the fact that I did not receive the item and then sending me an email stating the item is delivered and case closed?
It appears that Lazada is trying to make up a story and deceive their customers. I strongly recommend MCMC to thoroughly investigate Lazada Malaysia and take stern actions shall any non-compliances/conformances or intention to deceive is identified. Malaysian consumers deserve better protection from online retailers . I am ready to co-operate shall additional information is required.
I am a Lazada seller. I suspect your case is the work of the seller trying to scam the shit out of you and push the problem to Lazada and make it look like its Lazada that scam you.Dear Sir/Madam,

FYI, its been going on for awhile where a fake seller would copy top selling item and publish them in market place with a price too good to be true.
When you place order. We seller click accept order and system automatically generate a tracking number (thats why you got a tracking number immediately).
Instead of shipping the order base on the address printed on the shipping label, they forge a fake shipping label and ship the shit out back to themselves or someone that work for them, in this case that address that receive the parcel at JB. So from Lazada side and Pos laju side, the good really appeared to be shipped successfully and it will look like its the buyer that trying to cheat.
Thats why you read those review, many clain they nevet receive the item but order mark as shipped.
Its not only happen on Lazada, its happening on Shopee as well.
How to identify these fake seller? Price too good to be true and usually their profile is new with no rating or got so many negative rating.
And the rating sysyem can be cheat as well. Janice can buy from her own shop and post it back to herself and give 5 stars rating, which make it even harder to combat seller like that.
Before you buy, make sure you check the ratings. If they got more than 100 ratings and 90% good rating, chances are they are genuine.
