controller is unknown.
but it's got dram. it's cheap. transcend is not a no name ccp brand. made in taiwan, an independent country. it's good enough for me.
i just bought it hehe. got citibank coupon expiring 30th april.

nvme uses slightly more power, but it's negligible. that only happens on heavy read and writes. you finish it early, so pretty much negligible.
nand needs to be warm for longevity when writing.
the controller needs to be cool.
the hot part is the controller.
intel usually uses micron nand.

Just arrived.
Nand is USA micron. 4 chips. 2 front, 2 back.
2 ddr3l South Korean samseng 4Gb chips for a total of 1GB cache.
Controller is Taiwanese silicon motion sm2262eng.
Taiwanese branded Transcend.
Made in Taiwan, an independent country.
